May 23rd - server down until tomorrow

This is unfortunately taking positively forever. Hopefully it should be done mid-day tomorrow (Friday).

Something like this (not even with an ETA, but just to know not to wait for it until the next day) would have been GREAT Thursday evening anywhere from like 6p-11p.

LAWL! That IS an ETA /bonk. You are lucky to of gotten that much info when you did.

I knew it was an ETA. In fact, that was why I said, "...not even with an ETA...". In other words, this information would have been great had he *not even* said anything about mid-day tomorrow.


But that's ok, being misunderstood, quoted out of context, etc. and getting trashed for it by everyone and his brother, without being able to defend myself is perfectly acceptable as a trade off for being able to play, and post.

And no, I'm not implying that you've done all of that.


As for the server being up later on today, that would be great. Even just finding out that it might be up early this evening cheered me up. I don't think Wiz will leave it down any longer than he has to, nor do I think he should/will bring it up any time before it's ready. If anyone does happen to be foolish enough to post something like "6:15pm WTF" I will slooooowly back away...

hi all

first off i think you all are lucky to get a ETA at all so those of ya tellin em to hurry up please dont make him angry, remember this he holds our gaming life in his hands, and that he does this and DONT GET PAID, so please cut him a break. and to WIZ i hafta say this, i think you have a marvelous job on this game, and i apreciate everythig you have done to make this an awsome game. all i say is this take your time and do it the best you can, thats all anyone of us can ask, and with a chance of gettin yelled at by wiz check out my forum in the other games discussions those of you that are jonesin for a MMORPG there are others none nearly as good but hey play them and just keep an eye on the forum here to see when the job is done. i wont mention the gmaes in this forum cause thats what the other forum is for. i do list them there or a couple of them anyway. occupy you time and let wiz concentrate on the game and he might be done faster. but i dont think its cool to keep askin him when hes gonna be done or tellin him to hurry up. like i said he does this on his own time, be thankfull. ok if i get yelled at by the wiz for speaking my mind about these things so be it, i had to though. TTFN

What you originally said, did sound like you were complaining that Wiz actually gave an ETA. So if you got flammed for typing something that was misinterpreted that way, it's your own fault. I read what you said three times and it still sounds like a complaint that Wiz gave an ETA at an inconvenient time for you as an individual. I know you don't think that now, after reading your last post, but yeah. ;p

Well, it could have been interpreted as somewhat of a gripe at not getting any sort of update last night as opposed to today. I wouldn't try to weasel my way out of that.

But I think Jayelle thought that I was saying that Wiz's post didn't have an ETA, and just now, I can see how that was possible - because of the way I used the parentheses. It probably would have been clearer without them.
And as a rule, I'm always grateful for the time, money, and brain cells everyone invests into making this game playable. I just don't often throw it into my posts, because I hate the way it comes off.

agreed...people need something better to do than argue if someone asked for an ETA or didnt. Chill, sit back, read the discussion on tobocco being implemented in SoD and laugh at what people have to say. Thats what I did while the server was/is down
