Do I haveto repeat myself? What about resists, LDs, Adds, Spells breaking (Root, Mez, Charm). These things happen and usualy mean death if you are OOM but not always, now it is almost certain death with nothing you can do but stand there and watch or attempt to camp out. Yes you are right. If a cleric, for example, was to just burn all their mana not saying anything go OOM and die as a result then yes they need to learn to play better.

If you dont see any valid drawbacks to the current system you obviously have not read both threads on the subject. The lich line of spells right now is a very valid drawback to the current system, if it were to be changed Lich spells would be much more useful again.

Do you people honestly go OOM on EVERY pull? where you have to root/mez and med to finish mobs off? That is either an issue of your playstyle or where you are fighting.

he's not talking about every pull. I fail to see how this scenario is so hard to comprehend.

Does all of your groups single pull LB mobs so that there is never any risk what so ever? (The sarcasm is intended) Hes not saying this is an issue with every pull, this is a worse case scenario where something has gone wrong and now you have to figure a way out of it.

With the current system, there is no way to get out of it. You have X mana and X hitpoints, when those are gone and you are still listed as in combat, there is NOTHING you can do.

I would venture that even if you over-pulled or had pops on 1 out of every 10 'engages'... you would hate wiping each time that happened. It's really too bad not everyone is perfect, cautious and willing to fight lower level mobs only in areas where there are not wanderers and where they can single-pull and predict all spawns... Then they would have no concerns about not being able to regen somewhat and they could come on the forums and call everyone n00bs for thinking that sometimes things don't go perfectly.

Personally I have liked the changes thus far, exactly as they are... but I REALLY do understand the need for at least restricted mana regen while in combat... I've not grouped since the changes, but last time I DID group... we have several times where there were adds, mobs trained on us, spawns that we had mis-timed, etc... if we had run OOM and wiped on every one of those mishaps, I would have been rather discouraged... Although I honestly can't say we ran OOM on any of them, I imagine that had something to do with every caster in the group sit/stand/cast/sit looping (done before the changes, obviously)....
