Let's make me a leveling plan! :-)

Ok so I really need a plan as to where to level, what to hunt for money, etc for a good few levels. Right now my warrior is 21 and my shaman tags along at level 16, and 90% of the time my friend who's a mage around 16 comes with us. Lately I've just been running around not doing anything really, and am getting bored, so I wanna try to get up in levels a good bit asap. My biggest problem is I just don't know the zones the way I did in live. I don't know where to go for good exp, and have no idea where to go for any decent coin. So help me out with a quick leveling plan, and try to be semi-precise. Saying Western Wastes does me no good if I don't know what to go after, etc.

Thanks in advance guys.

"and try to be semi-precise. Saying Western Wastes does me no good if I don't know what to go after, etc."

I'm more looking for the best Difficulty/exp(and money) ratio... knowing that x zone has mobs from 1-20 doesn't really help...

But thanks for the effort :)

The best experience/coin plan in the game is:

Active participation in quests (see wiki) or groups (see /ooc ppl lfg), leading to the accumulation of knowledge and skill.

Try that instead of running around doing nothing.

Your welcome in advance ;)

It almost sounds like you want us to make it really easy for you. But, despite that I will tell you that shrouded isle on the Erudin continent could be nice for you and your team.

Isnt finding out where to go and waht to kill a kind of big component on the game which everybody mostly figures out for themselves?

These links from the wiki might be useful.

The strategies in these links probably don't apply(you're not a druid/necro/ranger), but the locations are worth looking at.

I know this isn't what you're looking for but I don't really have the time to explain the locations in detail. To tell the truth I haven't even been to most of the places the guides mention.

Hope this helps,

Not to mention that it's a sure fire way to crank out more players who don't know what the hell they're doing in a group once they get into their 50's and 60's...

With that said, I would recommend Darkwoods and Red Sun Peaks for levels 16-20.

Definately a place to check out..... but on a serious note, we have all spent a lot of time figuring out where to level, and for the most part tend to forget where to level after we're done with a certain stage. The best thing to do is check out the old zone connection maps and use that to guesstimate where would be good for your level.

Thanks guys. And yeah, I'm not really aiming for "easy", it's just that with college I hardly get a chance to play so I want to really be doing something productive when I actually get to play. Right now I'm doing shrouded isle, but seem to get killed a lot in the house, as I can't seem to pull things far without getting adds. Outside things are often light blue, which really cuts down on the exp obv. Any tips for pulling in the mansion? Or is the best course of action to just go in with the full group?

About the grouping thing, my biggest problem with that is everyone I've tried grouping with so far has simply been terrible. Had chanters that nuked, clerics that try to tank, mages that don't understand aggro, etc. Which isn't to say that I'm awesome or anything, as this is my first tank I've really played (mains on live were druid, cleric, and mage) My short term goal is to just get to to 30-40 where (I assume) people start to at least somewhat understand their role in the group. I played 3 50+ charecters in live, so I know more or less what I'm doing as far as groups go in the later game, but I agree that I should be getting group experience once my charecters start to really develop a bit.

Again, thanks for all suggestions, I will definately check them out.

True, but it becomes more enjoyable (imo) the higher level you get. I don't think there's anything really "wrong" with trying to level as quick as possible.

In my opinion SI is horrible past 20 unless u have a group for the inside. Try NBL, the wandering mobs are decent, and if i remember right, not too hard to kill, there is also a bandit camp near EBL thats decent xp, if its ever open. Another thought is the Kodiaks in Warrens, they might be decent work for ya

1-10 Newbie Ground

10-24 Mielech A

24-30 Kaladim

30 - 38 Split Paw

38 - 45 Mielech B

45 - 55 Lasanth

55+ The world is your oyster.

1 - 5 Your starting area
1 - 10 Newport Sewers
7 - 20 Mielech A
12 - 20 Warrens
12 - 25? Fearstone
25 - 30 Goblinskull (somewhat boring)
20 - 35 Yaralith
20 - 45? Badlands (WBL, NBL, SBL, EBL)
30 - 40 Kaladim a (Kinda harsh solo and not a necro)
30 - 45? Obsidian Shard Mountains (Gargs, later on HG's)
35 - 45 Paw (just do it, beware of chanter mobs)
40 - 55 Great Divide
45 - 60 Mielech B
50 - 60 Freeport (Maybe - Its kinda bleh unless you're a necro)
50 - 60 Lasanth (50-55 clear the upper area, 55-60 go to the lake <- soloable)
50 - 65 Sorceror's Labyrinth
50 - 65 Eastern Wastes (Orc Fort, Giants too if you don't bother faction hits)
55 - 65 Western Plaguelands (great Solospot at Kithicor zone)

That is something I wrote back in february, just a rough glance at the several levels. I may be mistaken somewhere, yet I believe it just openes op possibilities.

Either Highpass or Paw are really good for 30-38.

Theres a zone off of Great Divide called Thazeran's Tower, that as soon as you hit level 60, I suggest you explore there, and while you're at lower levels, follow a character into what used to be Paineel zone. When they click into the elevator, jump in behind them for access to a pretty nifty area.

If you kill both Giants and Dragons (wyrms, drakes, wyverns), you can join the Slayer Faction, which has excellent quest rewards. You can begin in your 30s in places like Great Divide and lay down the smack on both sides there.

Also, if you're using the /cm listsend commands, make sure to be behind the counter in the bank when you do, and you won't be charged the standard 2/100pp for sending.
