As of right now I'm not sure but I'm probably going to lose my internet for at least a month. Gas prices being what they are and my family's falling on hard times I"m having to cut the fat and stay with my folks a bit more to lend a hand with them. Its something I"m glad to do, but I really don't like having to cut everything away but oh well. What has to be done is what has to be done.
 
Completely understandable. Hope everything pans out for the best soon for you and yours (as well as others in the country). Until then, journey well and travel safe!
 
Well as of next week my computer's getting moved to my parents....which means i'll only have internet during the day, which crimps pretty badly any playing i've got since it'll mean at best an hour or so of game time. No idea how long this'll last but I knwo this is a definate, where the total disconnect was only highly probable.
 
Update: computer's still at my granddad's, still without internet. Dog got attacked so we've got a rather large vet bill in addition to other expenses.

Seems I've lucked out and have a free week of internet, this is long enough for me to set up my exosyphen account with thunderbird to maxamize the rest of what time i have.
 
Side note...

Ever wondered why NetZero is called... NetZero? because it doesn't really pertain to anything they do currently...

They used to be one of the free dial up providers back in 99, which only had a single banner ad. NetZero's slogan was 'Defenders of the Free World" and they boasted 'free internet and email forever'.

They were a fairly decent dial up provider... I used them for awhile and the banner ad didnt bother me much. Then I got broadband and moved on.

Few years later I see a commercial for them and think how great it is that they are still successful... but wait... pay for internet... *sigh* NetZero.

At least change the name....seriously...
 
I know, quite a shame to see this hcange too however bandwidth costs money and the moment you say the words 'free internet access' you've got people all over it like flies over a garbage dump. Problem is while you've got alot of enthsiasm you don't have near enough people interested in the sponsors themselves, hence you don't have enough money to cover bandwidth costs.

I miss the days back before spam, before popups were litterally everywhere, and back when you could get internet for free.
 
Those days were great.... but I miss the days about 6 months ago mostly where you were not bombarded by pop ups which play sounds (which are slightly annoying because you can close them) or where a FLASH AD ON THE PAGE YOU ARE LOOKING AT PLAYS SOUNDS AND CAN NOT BE TOGGLED OFF... countless times ive been listening to music and one of those ads decides to anger me and play at 10x my music volume. If you want to look at the page which you went to in the first place you need to turn all volume down..... which is a hinderance to my comfortability and enjoyment....

flash ads need to be seriously banned... they can not be blocked, they play sounds, and they sometimes block the whole page and need to be closed... like a pop up on your page...
