Did you loan out your account to anyone? You may have been botted and someone did something wrong. However, it is most likely just an IP ban that you got hit with and it should be able to be removed.

Oh no. I didn't give my account out to anyone. I hope it it just an IP ban... I mean, I got to level 55 and I don't really want to have it go to waste.

People usually sit idle on IRC and then check it every once and a while to see what is going on. People usually do not use it to chat a bunch (though, some do). This goes for both PCs and Admins.

Most of the chatting goes on in private guild and staff channels. #SoD is typically quiet unless the server goes down, or someone pops in to ask a question. The most common error of the later is that said person pops in for a minute or two and then storms off feeling ignored not realizing this fact.
