Halloween Quest 2014

Rayek, if you're running into a wall looking for gems and need some help feel free to send me a tell if you see me around (Draedan). I'm happy to help out.

Admittedly I don't kill quite that fast, but really not talking about the shell , I managedto get one shell I needed. The nightmare gems are what I'm after. Really don't have any guild to guide me. I actually did enjoy finding the ones I did get. The others will probably require help.
I could see a maximum of 4 gems requireing help. The others are just understand the clues and pick em up.

It took a solid 4 hours of me killing to get the three different orbs. Seems a bit much. I kill quite quickly not sure they should be that rare.
4 hours is about how long that part is supposed to take according to staff. It took me that long as well, with the whole zone to myself and killing every single mob who can drop them before the first respawns. I think it should be made a bit faster considering it's going to get more contested over time and not everyone can kill as fast as the high tier people who have done that part yet. Plus you can get RNG screwed and be there 12 hours if you get the same ones over and over.

Yes, I indeed am ok with that drop rate to be honest. I am looking for challenging, but not days worth of farming. Yes, some people are getting screwed by the RNG - that does stink, but the dupes and such are exactly as intended believe it or not.

As for it taking awhile to unravel clues and such, I'm going to see if we can leave it open a bit longer this year to accommodate those who haven't had enough time. That said, I wouldn't wait too long, when it's done for the year, it's done and you won't see it again until 2015. :)

Just a heads up spent about 2+ hours in storm keep, enough to get more than 10 giant heads, with 0 spirits. I guess the clue means only in storm's Eye? Also, in the harder places do they have a significantly higher drop rate due to much fewer mobs?

Your German is showing. ;) I remember the time when you told me I needed to look for a "milk tooth" for your Theron Ygnir quest. The item was called a "baby tooth," but I looked up the German and sure enough Milchzahn came up!

Heck I even used plain german text (ROT 13 encrypted) in that one book for oggok gateneck!

The text isn't all that clear; if you assume that the order of possible drop locations is in order from lowest to highest, the spot after dragons/giants would be the one for 65s. It doesn't make very much sense though.

Also, the best German word is unterseeboot. It means submarine, or more literally, "under sea boat".
