As I posted in another thread:
The original reasoning for removing player vendors were that there was not enough vendors for the growing population (it was rising from 125-175 on at peak to 300+ regularly at the time, iirc), and that certain players had huge advantages if they had a vendor in South Newport, particularly near the bank or in high traffic areas. Erudin and Oggok player vendors were generally quite shunned.
So by moving the player vendors to one centralized location, and with a zone such as the Bazaar being as sizable as it is, the number of vendors can always be adjusted to match just how many are needed. I think using the old Bazaar zone, and not the newer one seen on EQLive today would be ideal, as it is easier to navigate, and includes an arena! Obviously players who get a vendor near a bank would have a leg up in terms of players probably right clicking on those vendors first, but that's the beauty of it - all of the vendors can be bought and sold by players (limit of one vendor, per account obviously).
I think moving back to this system would be absolutely fantastic in terms of player immersion. Roleplay wise, you are hiring someone to peddle your wears day and night for a weekly or monthly fee. Thus introducing yet another plat sink. Real life wise, the idea of the Bazaar as done on EQ is very anti-environment, as it is forcing the player to leave his computer running around the clock, thus wasting precious energy - which is becoming much more expensive, both monetarily and with the destruction of our environment due to the methods in which we create energy.
Thank you for reading, and I would appreciate all comments.

Once they rent them, they could also sell the rights to a vendor. Obviously vendors near a bank would be of higher value.
This would be great.
