FT and Lich/Breeze line and lich line

Flowing thought and Lich stack correct? I'm just checking since when I remove my FT items and have lich on it seems to mana regen at the same speed as when i have them on. It might be just because of my lowly 2 FT but I'm just wondering.

Another thing is I know that the breeze line and lich line don't stack? I don't really mind this but i would like to hear a good argument on why necro shouldnt be able to have a breeze line and a lich line on at the same time.

Couple o quick comments...

With your lich line, your getting for instance the 49 spell, 34 mana regen. Adding 2 to that, is not a very big difference. Thats probably why you dont see any difference. Now if you have a UI that shows actual mana numbers, thats a different story...

Why doesnt lich/breeze line stack?
Lich is almost garenteed to have more regen then an enchanters breeze spell at the same levels, except the last 4 lvls until you upgrade to a new lich. After 49, lich beats KEI forever more. If kei and lich spells stacked, you would be gaining WAY to much mana all at once. Hmm, lifetap tanking anyone? I can do this occasionally in groups, when I am FM, I can tank an unslowed blue/white/yellow without a healer. This kills all my mana, but when there is that unmezzable add, it helps out great. We would become the best tanks out there... NO healer required, we are almost garenteed to have agro lock. Our DPS would be through the roof...

Game mechanics, lich and breeze should NEVER be stacked. In a RP sense, I dont see why they shouldnt... but the game would be broken if it did, so it should stay as is.

I thought the max for mana regen outside battle was 40?? anyone have any clarity (no pun intended) to shed on the subject?

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Ok.

In-combat spell mana regen is 30.
In-combat flowing thought is 30.
In-combat recovery (items) is 50.
In-combat spell hp regen is __.

Out of combat is roughly double those rates, as far as I know. This post is a trap to get Wiz here and correct me.

As far as I know, in-combat ITEM mana regen is 20. This includes flowing thought items as well as say Sanguine Idol of Stillness or Mask of the Elder Dragon, etc.

Just tested.

Addendum:

In-combat FT (worn): 20
In-combat Spell mana regen: 30
Out-of-combat FT (worn): 40
Out-of-combat Spell mana regen: 30 (not a typo)

Mental Clarity stacks with all of these.
Lich does not count towards spell mana regen.

Woah woah woah woah woah, slow down there buddy.

So what you're saying is in a raid, any bard mana regen really IS useless, both in combat and out of combat, because the spell cap is already hit in combat and out of combat by JB+WoN+SB?

::SADFACE::

The cap came at the point where clerics pretty much had infinate mana due to mana regen being too high.
AAs don't count towards spell regen.

Yes, but I was under the impression that the out of combat spell regen had a higher cap. Since it does not, a fullly buffed raid has literally NO need for bard mana regen. (Whereas beforehand, it at least helped lower downtime, which was kind of nice I guess)

I didn't test it with a bard song, but whether in combat or out, SB/JB/WoN/HPB were giving 30 mana a tick.

Necromancers still want it, so keep singing it

I'll sing it anyways. There's a sort of comfort that arrives from seeing it up in the song bar, and even though a raid can be told a million times it' s useless, they still demand it. And perhaps the hp regen is a teensy bit useful.

I need more necros on raids, so I can feel more useful :p

P.S. is there a cap on spell HP regen in and out of battle? >.<

It still helps to recover mana after a wipe, to give late comers a regen and it will also help if you're not in a guild that doesn't consists of bots and you're without a chanter.

I was under the impression that out of combat spell regen was not capped. I know I've seen this on the boards so I did some searching and found this thread:

20/40 is the item cap.

30/any is the spell cap.

Lich line is unaffected by either cap.

This post was in Dec of 2005. Can anyone find anything more recent to contradict this? If this still holds, Rab's mana regen test shows there might be a bug with out of combat mana-regen.
