I don't care about the bonuses.. Tho it's nice. If you kill 100 mobs you get exp as you would've killed 125, yay.

I just hate the penalty -.- It sucks so damn much.. Every zone doesn't give ZEM exp, so it really slows the leveling.
My char's at 56 and it's gotten so slow that I don't even wanna play it, lol. I just play with my newbie necro for the fun of leveling, new spells and new stuff... You know, like developing my shaman has been 56 for ages *-* still needs one yellow to ding, but it's just too much work. I can usually only get a group of 60+ people so it slows my exp too..

Anyways, bonus = ok
0% bonus = ok
penalty = screw that!!

The quick drop isn't intended at all, if it's occuring like that. I'll have a look.

The quick drop is reported almost exclusively at lower (non 65) levels, I imagine it's unintended.

If this is the case, then maybe its not a problem at all... maybe the bonus is.. lets say.. 20% of a level...
obviously at lvl 1-10 its going to go quite fast... someone of higher level will take a fair amount of time.

There was a bug. It has been fixed and everyone's mods have been reset. The new mod is based off how many % of exp you gain in a zone. 600% level exp (6 levels) will see you reaching the -10% bonus, 10 levels the -25%. The calc for AA is 5x that, so you need to get 30 AA in a zone before you see -10% in it (or 15 AA and 3 levels, for example).

I was fighting in East Freeport at 10% new area bonus right before the patch yesterday. Right after the patch, I was still fighting in East Freeport at 10% new area bonus. (assuming the patch yesterday reset the xp bonus)
