I have never smoked in my life, and never will. Why? Well, my mom is a nurse, and when I was 8 she brought me in to see one of her patients.
He had smoked all of his life, and was still smoking, just couldn't stop. He was hard to talk to, because they had removed much of his jaw/face as cancer had eaten it away. His teeth were gone becuase his gums had rotted away with cancer. It was not a pretty sight. Then he tried to talk to me, and that was even scarier. He had no tongue, becuase they amputated his tongue when it turned cancerous. I can still remember him to this day, and that sight will always be in my head. The guy would take his cigarette out to talk to me, but without a tongue, he couldn't pronounce much of anything. And the guy was still puffing away. He died a couple months later, a horribly painful death.
Smoking isn't very appealing once you've witnessed that.
