I've been clicky gnome illusionsed while I was out of group / raid of any enchanter at least 7 times from Ruin enchanters. I've talked with Ruin leadership and the enchanters themselves about being illusioned when it's not wanted, and I'm really not sure what else to do other than to post about it. I recently petitioned about it because this "harassment" if you will is simply not stopping. Nothing has been done ( that i'm aware of ) to the enchanters abusing the fact that this click can be casted on anyone, which is what brings me to posting here.


The only thing I can think of is to ask for this clicky to be changed because all other attempts for this behavior to get stopped has gotten less than desirable results. It's written perma SB illusions on podge, which is going past the "well just click it off if you dont want it" arguement thats lots of people use.

There's not really any good reason that eto's shouldn't be raid-only, unless for whatever reason that's hard to do. But yeah, /cm blockbuffs is there for a reason.

Simple solution, stop stalking our raids.

That is all.
 
Only way you're getting gnomed is cause you're too close to our raids... or maybe it has to do something with not asking permission before getting closer to the raid... Dunno, really... PR chanters never Eto'd me. Once again, Ruin chanters love gnoming (*points at maimai*) Think it's gnome pride or something like that.

No, seriously... if you were pvp, would you be near a group of pvp wizards who love nuking the heck out of you? Then, if you don't want to be gnomed, avoid getting close to chanters that love gnoming. Plain and simple.
 
It's rather ironic that the majority of times that I've been gnomed has been at the sk port in or rivervale port in, where there aren't raid mobs. The last time I was gnomed was at IP entrance, which is where I commonly log because we commonly raid Prison. It seems that this is being done to grief me more than anything else, and due to a "bug" the illusion from the ear is allowed to be cast on persons outside of your party / raid. I'm not turning this thread in to what many people have already tried, which is a direct flame / zing at a single person / party. The request was made because the other solutions I've sought out have not succeeded.
 
It will be group/raid only next patch. It was just overlooked when illusions were changed to group/raid. I will also make all targeted summon item spells group/raid only.

As a side note, raid stalking is part of our "don't be an asshole" policy now. If someone is actively stalking your raid, petition, don't get into lol illusion battles.
 
Summoning things also draws aggro like heals on a FD person (*blush*).
Considering this I like the change to not being able to summon out of raid.
Imagine a mage happily doing AE rods in Newport and one hits someone that is FD due to bounty hunter aggro.. :toot:
 
Imagine all the newbies that I can't just summon food, weapons or haste to their bags. As a mage, I think that this is pretty inconveinient. I hope that the problem that this is fixing is actually big enough to justify taking away the upside of the ability.
 
If I can't clicky people in to gnomes in snp, is there any point in having an enchanter anymore? :(
