Enchanter Spells: KEI and Gift of Brilliance

I've always viewed GoB as the spell you used until you could get KEI i.e. cheap alternative. I don't know where all of this chatter and non sense about Necro's and lich and GoB comes from nor do I care really. Nor do I care if the original intent for GoB happens to be infact for a necro's benefit. I look at GoM, then I look at GoB which is the upgrade to GoM. As far as I'm concerned GoB is the alternative to KEI and that is it's sole purpose in Live and SoD life, period. I've never had a necro ask me for GoB. Hell I haven't had the damn spell in my spell slots in 8 months. It's my most worthless spell outside of the ones I'll never mem again for sure like my lower level mana regen spells/slows/roots/etc. GoB is totally worthless for the most part but yes it does have it's purpose. GoB = poor enchanters and necro's rejoice.

Edit: Or actually I should have said cheap alternative as lv60 spells. As far as I know, GoB is no alternative to lower level mana regen spells aka Clarity II and below. I actually don't even know if those spells would stack with GoB since I never tried, but I always assumed it would since GoM did.

Hardly. I don't have the spellfile handy, but GoB is something like 2 mana a tick and 150 mana. KEI is 14 mana a tick and 350 mana. (JB is 18 mana a tick and 450 mana).

Ideally, GoB:KEI::Aegolism:Blessing of Aegolism, but it's pretty far from that.

GoB + C2 is pretty close to kei, but not quite as good, iirc.

That would equal a pretty nice cheap alternative then until KEI came around. I never had experience with Clar II and GoB because I had KEI from the moment I dinged 60. But not everyone, especially if you're an enc and it's your first character(as was the case for me but I had a friend help me out) has the money to buy KEI. Of course for the most part I guess it isn't an issue because pretty much no one wants to be a gimp and say, "no sorry I don't have kei." So either way you look at it really, GoB is pretty much a necro buff in the end.
 
I fail to see how lowering GoB's spell level undermines the Enchanters role, or takes away any of his tools or diversity.
 
Geez gimme GoB srsly !
I suggest removing this spell from all those chanty whiners and give it to necroz as a self spell.
Discuss.
