Draconic/Stormforged armor quests (NOT ornate)

yes but the bottlenecks are usually put in place for quests with exceptional loot. There are common drops in DN/Mielc/Sirens (though i will say i don't think i've ever seen arms drop), but you will rarely if ever, see the BP/Legs, which are pretty much the only items really worth upgrading ornate/combine.

I paid someone 5k to loot the robe back in the day which droped from deep Sirens near Lady of the Deep, and followed an xp group in EDHK on my cleric a couple of times for a plate bp and legs. Honestly by the time someone gets the armor, it wouldnt be much of an upgrade, if one at all, over what they were wearing.

Now, for upgrading to ornate, which i feel any raiding guild can do, i feel the rewards should be better. The BP/Legs are generally only upgraded due people wanting the Clickie. I wear my ornate robe simply because i don't want to spend money to buy a better one after already spending 5k on it. But people never upgrade the other pieces of the armor, save to bump it to peerless. I was rather disappointed after upgrading my wrist to ornate, only to find it a marginal bump over the 50hp/mana wrist that drops off a lvl 65 named mob in WDHK, or the regen 3 bracer that drops from a tmap.

In my opinion, all ornate armor should have perks, from focuses like mana cons, or mana regen/hp regen/vigilence. Having raw stats isn't going so well for the armor anymore.

That, or take away the no drop coding for the quest armor pieces to allow players to sell them, making the armor more easy to obtain (like othmir quest armor), instead of "Chain legs dropped, anyone need?" (round of no's) "Grats rot!"
