DoT Spells Wearing Off Prematurely

Last night in Thaz Tower, while raiding with another necromancer, I began to notice a problem that has plagued me in the past. During long fights, when 2 necromancers cast the same dot on a mob (in this case it would be relic marlows cremation and funeral pyre of malath) the one that wears off first will cause the other to wear off at the same time. For example, Paxx would cast his marlows cremation then 4 ticks later I would cast mine, and it would wear off the next tick, when Paxx's wears off naturally. This problem also occurs with a shaman when using caress of sivyana. I request that it be looked at because it seriously defeats the purpose of having more than 1 necromancer on a raid.
 
Live had that exact same problem for years until they had finally addressed it a few years ago that allowed 2 necs using the same spell to land and the duration to wear off as normal rather than sooner.

So yeah it had been a PITA for Necros who go on raids on a daily basis. Some had to decide which Necro had to use that one particular spell to avoid wasting mana and time. if involved more than 2 Necros in the same raid, it would generally leave some not able to cast spells at all as the options ran out for them other than sicing their pets on the same mob.

yeah its been happening here for a very long time and is extremely frustrating and essentialy makes 2 necros completely pointless on a raid, there were fights where i was consuming almost twice the mana to put out my normal DPS, and thats a very serious problem
 
heres an image of what im talking about, the land message for marlows cremation is "mob howls in agony as they burn from the inside"
 
How often does this happen? If it happens a lot that seems ridiculously detrimental to Necro dps and a big drain on their mana pool.

any time there is more than 1 person casting the same dot on a mob
It happens with all dots, not just necro
 
yeah its really frequent, but i just started noticing it recently since previously i have been either the only necro or the only necro with relic dot on my raids, but now that paxx and i are on the same raid casting the same spells its become very obvious that something is wrong
 
Yes this needs to be looked into and perhaps fixed please. As a necro I am constantly casting series of dots in a certain order that enables me to re-apply the dots as they wear off in a timely and efficient manner with little waiting. In other words constant, stacked dots for maximum dps until the target is a corpse. With this bug our dots are not giving complete damage length for the mana expended.

For example if I were to cast a 4 tick dot and another caster had the same dot on the mob and it expires on the next tick, mine expires also and I just lost 75% of my damage per mana used. Now this percentage of lost dps/mana varies of course but I'm pretty sure you can understand how frustrating this is on fights were every bit counts. Unless we cast and land the same dots at the same time this bug is detrimental to one of the casters every-single-time.
 
In the meantime, you might just have to coordinate which dots which necro is going to be casting, for maximum efficiency.

Bards have to do this all the time, as their DoTs don't stack at all.
