Bard Procs

Can you change it back or fix it? I've noticed repeatedly that while trying to use any bellows (and probably when singing a dot for that matter, but not as easily to notice) that this aa proc going off interrupts the bellows from casting. I'd like my bellows to actually land when I sing it.

i am not experiencing this, are you sure the damage is not going off at all?

tested with different bellows and dots and am able to see AA proc go off while singing and the damage/effect of the song is still applied.


edit - while testing i did notice that Brusco's Arrogant Bellow, level 39 song, acts strangely. can't really figure out what the game thinks is going on, but the damage from that bellow seems to get applied twice for a single cast. sometimes it happens instantly and other times the second bit of damage goes off after my next song is finished casting.

Reehs. This has always been the case. Unlike other bard DDs, the lvl 39 bellow lands twice (when clicked, but will only land once if this song is allowed to pulse) and also does not "gray" the spell gem out. Because of this, you can repeatedly click this button and get 2 DDs each time. I pissed off a lot of people (Raxton - knockback) when i would use this to get a bit more DPS lower in the tiers.

thats weird, i had no idea this was a thing. its not really enough damage to be overpowered or anything, but it makes that bellow very relevant due to the efficiency and instant recast.

i talked about this with Anvyl since he was still experiencing a proc interrupting his song casting. we found that is it buffs with weapon procs. Like relic:blades of war, shroud of death, werefrog, or tranquil malice (caretakers will procs that buff which didnt have a problem, but that buff procs a lifetap which was a problem). Those buffs listed were all the ones i had easy access to test with and was able to recreate the problem with each.

normal weapon procs do not cause any problem, nor does the bard AA sonic blades weapon proc.

ive always wondered what the point of this mechanic is. all stuns have a knockback variable which doesn't seem to do exist for any reason other than to annoy melees, who are already at a disadvantage across the board in this game, which does not put much value on mana, like it did on live, and has certain bodytypes (construct, undead) which literally exist only to handicap melee.

getting off topic a bit, but the knockback component doesnt seem to have any effect on interrupting npcs, and the fact that it forces them to face north can cause complications on some fights (talin being one example) it also doesnt seem to effect the stun itself, as divine stun, since the change, does not produce knockback but will actually stun a red con boss dragon briefly.

so what is the point of it? i guess it was a balancing factor of cataclysm, since we had to straight up tell druids to stop using it since it was knocking mobs all over the place and getting tanks summoned.
 
also adding in bard songs with procs, such as song of the murk and ancient:song of the mindflaye, as causing this issue.

so that means bards playing beneficial songs that add a weapon proc component will be constantly interrupting themselves.
