I have at LEAST a half dozen level 1-10 characters I created on a lark that don't need seperate accounts though, and I imagine there are many others that don't need a lot of their characters moved. Seems like this way if you want it done you can do it, if you don't you don't, nothing wrong with that.
 
I did this for one toon and it said

Logged requested move of this character to account ''.

I assume the account name should of been in the '' but wasnt, hope its just a display bug and my toon isnt being moved off to nowhere :p.
 
it said the same thing for me when i did it for my toon "altarockst"

no need to worry i think :)
 
I am asking the same question everyone else is asking.
When is the move going to actually going to be done. (I was told this is the place to ask safely)

So that people who previously played two chars from the same account don't effectively lose a character, all characters created before September 8th will have a chance to move to an account created after September 8th - so you have to create a new account to move your old character to, effectively.

You do this by going ingame and typing /cm movelog <name of account you want this character moved to>. The request is recorded, and will then be checked and processed by staff. Movelog can only be used once for any single character, and will be available for a couple months or so after the change.

Note that anyone trying to abuse this to sell characters in any form, including for in-game items or currency, will have all their accounts banned from the server.

is this going to affect LDs? can we still log in immediately after going LD without waiting for the server to sync up? i have tried it, and you still can but i'm just curious if this is going to be taken out later

Hi,
I tried this moving one of my tradeskill mules 2 days ago. I can't log him in now on the new account or the original. I'm a little nervous to move another character now. I know the GM's are really busy but should I feel confident and move my other characters?
I have also created two new accounts to transfer 2 other characters and now I can't log those in. Is it because I used the same email address? The registration screen went through without any errors.
Hopefully you can answer some of my concerns.

Well, my guy is back on his original account. Thank you to whoever did this. I still can't log into my 2 new accounts. I'll try again in a few days.

Just wondering if it's taking awhile for staff to get to all the accounts, or if the quote below, is indeed an error that means my character isn't on the list to be moved.  I have a friend i group with regularly that has a few high level characters on one account who got the same message - and we'd really like to be able to use them again!.

I created the new accounts, logged them in up to the character select screen and then logged on the characters to be moved and used the /movelog command with the name of the accounts they were to be moved to and got the following message quoted below.

I received the same message upon moving my characters on the first day of the message and they were just actually transferred today, so give it a bit of time.
 
Yes my cleric was also successfully transferred today.

I know the staff are busy, so I don't want to be pushy about them moving characters in a "timely" manner, but I also like to play my /movelog'd chars.

If I've /moved some of my characters and they haven't actually been pushed over to the new accounts yet, will I mess anything up by playing them on their current account?

No, you can play them fine.

If you're logged in and get a message similar to 'Character save failed' or 'Zone save failed,' in red, check to see if your characters have been moved. I believe I was on mine at the time and had to logout of my old account and into the new one to continue playing.
 
I was wondering if we could get a reply by one of the GM people about whether we are still limited to 3 accounts, or not? I've heard both yes and no in game, and wanted to get a definite answer so I wouldn't break the rules. Thank you all for your hard work
