An odd question

Aegamin

Dalayan Elder
Normally when I loot, I just set up a macro for it like so:

/tar a
/pause 1
/loot

works like a charm. However I made a warrior alt and named him Aegamin (my original EQ name for my woodelf warrior from live back in the day). However, because of his name beginning with 'A', my loot macro doesn't work because it always targets me. Not a super big deal, but sometimes some mobs just aren't easy to see/loot (especially if the disappear into the ground), plus the macro just makes it much more convenient.

Any suggestions/tips on how I can fix the macro to work with my warrior?

Is there any chance that I can not not play (and instantly be ridiculously hooked again) if I reinstall just to dump gear into this warrior?

Lol. I tweaked him somewhat, with some cool gear I farmed in Miel A (It took forever for the Captain's Guard to drop) and a bunch of plate I got while I was grouped in CC. :)

No ideas on the macro, though?

Wow, I can't believe I didn't try that. Thanks! Can't wait to try it out later.

personally i have "cycle through nearest corpses" hotkeyed to g and then a macro of:
/hidec looted
/cor
/loot

Hmmm, interesting. I understand the /loot command obvs, but what do the other two commands mean?

/hidec is short for hidecorpse which is a series of corpse hiding commands. Like /hidecorpse all literally hides all corpses, player and npc. /hidecorpse looted hides a corpse as soon as you're done looting it (which is amazing), so like if you're farming something that drops a bunch of stuff you don't want or would just destroy, you can use this command at the start of your farm, and afterwards every time you loot a corpse, it poofs regardless of whether or not you've left a bunch of garbage on it. You can just loot the things that are relevant. There's another one that's something like /hidec none or /hidec 0 or something that unhides everything you've hidden, in case you missed something or some other reason..basically an undo. /cor just pulls whichever corpse you have on target to you, provided you are within range to do so. NPC and other player corpses don't pull very far, but I'm guessing you know (or maybe not) that you can pull your own corpses from anywhere in zone. The default if you have nothing on target is your own corpse. As far as the cycle thing Haenir mentioned, if you look, I believe in macros under I believe keyboard in options (I'm at work, so can't check any of this atm), you'll see a list of these things you can bind to a key. Haenir has the one he mentioned bound to G, meaning any time he hits G on his keyboard, it will cycle to the next corpse around him. I personally have 'cycle through nearest npc' bound to a key, so I can hit it and cycle through all the monsters in front of me. Amazing for tanking among many other things.

I can't wait to get on and play with these tonight (although I might be on late because my 15 yr old downloaded something on my computer and crashed it. I had to reset to factory settings and need to reload all the SoD stuff again. Ugh).
