Hi Everyone. Just recently started up here and I've received tremendous support and help. I'd like to thank the most notable being Bertt and Grinkles. I was playing my newly created level 4 monk and Bertt was answering some questions of mine about Monks duo'ing in /tell and told me to get a Charm of the Brute. I asked how could I get one and where and he brought me to Erudin and gave me plat to purchase the charm, and also bought me Wandering Fungus Wrappings and a Mossy Servo Mesh for my monk. Then he gave my druid the plat for a Charm of the Mind (565 plat!) and another great mana/wisdom/hp earring.

Then today I was playing my level 13 SK and Shaman with 2 of my friends in Fearstone and ran into a level 11 SK named Madonna. He asked us if we wanted to attempt to kill Angar of the Sand and said he had a cleric over there he could use to help us. He didn't want any of the loot. I asked him if he was going to use one of the community clerics (that I just read about last night) and he said yes and that he was Grinkles himself! So we loaded up and ported over to SRO (not sure the SoD name sorry) and we killed Angar and got some nice loot. Then he asked us if we wanted to kill the Junkbeast so we did that too! This time he brought 2 clerics.

Anyway, just wanted to publicly thank these guys for going out of their way to help make new players feel welcomed.
 
It's pretty similar to a League of Legends champion name that just happens to be a monk. To me, your name is fine though. I wouldn't think a nerf would be coming your way.

Because the new staff doesnt understand the naming policy of yester years. Before you could get away with adding an F at the end of a name ie (GizmomanF) and you could get away with a name that sounded like something else but was spelled all jibble jabble.

Because of its similarity to a monk in another game. If you used it since 2000 though, you might be okay. In general names that sound like popular characters from other games are not allowed.

That's kind of silly though when its a common asian name like Lee Syn. I could see Sephiroth or Yoshi not allowed .. but a common name?
 
Unless I am missing something, it looks fine to me. I could not pull up whatever you guys are referring to on google.
 
Also I am really glad to hear you got a good welcome! Going to throw a bit of fame on those who helped you out as well as you for being nice enough to post.
