So, I've returned after a years absence. Been a big fan of this server for several years now and I feel it's my time to finally give back to the Developers and community.
In the process, I've been drafting up several new articles in an attempt to update the wiki in hopes that it may be made a bit more friendly for newer players. Since the implementation of tomes and a lot of higher end content, it can be a bit intimidating moving over the game - starting the marathon when the finish line is so far away so to speak.
Due to the servers population, I'm currently drafting an updated duo and solo oriented guide for players 55+ - help them find good, safe hunting locations, quests, farming, as well as try to inspire them to push their class. I'm not writing it based on the perspective of any one class (since I've played a druid, bard, enchanter, necro, and cleric), but grading events and locations based on difficulty in order to give everyone an idea of what they may or may not be able to handle.
I'm doing this so people don't feel discouraged to play a class they love for fear of not finding groups or having content to do. I've been playing seven years and I've hardly touched the end game content - there's plenty to do, it's just scattered.
If there's any thoughts about this, anyone who'd be willing to help me out some by providing information, or anyone who's against this for some reason. Let me know. I feel like doing this will help draw newer players in and keep them around long enough to see the end game.
How do you ladies and gents feel?
