I'm interested in playing WR but I need to know a few things first:
1) I quit EQ a long time ago (lost my 65 shaman's gear to a bug, never reimbursed, different story), so I haven't picked up any expansions after LDON. Are any expansions after this expansion used in WR?
2) I'm on dial-up, and besides the lengthy patching I'll have to go through initially, will I have to download any WR-specific files? I looked at the WR zone connection map and it's vastly different from EQ's... I'm guessing you changed the names of some zones, but were any complete new zones added? On an similar note, what optional zones would I have to download, such as Veksar or The Warrens. Also the Gunthak and LDON expansions are included since I didn't but the discs for them.
I'm very intrigued by this server and want to play on it, but I'm just wondering if it'd be feasible to get set-up on dial-up. I don't mind a few nights of downloading, but if it's just completely out of the picture, I'll need to know.
Thanks for the help.
