WR Logic Behind Race/Class options

Technically speaking, it wouldn't be impossible to see a raised and trained Dwarven Shaman, but it certainly is not the norm.

You players are the norm.

Maybe from a group of extremely primitive dorfs but my understanding of the shaman class was that they were the primitive types (like the iksar and barbarians) who were closer to that primitive tribal type worldview.

There's four types of magic on WR. Animist magic like what Druids, Shamans and Beastlords use is one of them. One is not accessible to any player races, lore-wise.

Ahhh I'm not completely clear on the lore for WR, the stuff in the wikipedia didn't seem to go very in depth.

it's nice of me to forget i posted this. sorry i was moving when this was posted. lots has happened since then.

anyway, i didn't realize race/class was client coded. makes perfect sense.

and btw, for those who say it woudl be stupid to see a dwarven shaman, you should look around more. classes can be any race they want to be (visually) with illusions. it's the starting stats and racial traits that really mix things up a bit.

not to mention the fact it makes zero sense lore-wise but hey who cares about lore integrity right

human shaman

makes perfect sense

I think only a few combinations not already in would be applicalbe to the WR lore. One of them is Iksar Enchanter, their background says they were the first race to use the type of magic, but it can be explained that in the many wars, they lost their ability to tap into it.

That's exactly what happened.

i think my "oringinal intent/question" was answered with the "it's a client issue" statement. i guess techcnically any idea could be implemented given enough time to make the changes. i was curious as if WR creators thought about race/class combinations before coding around it. and, as we have surmised, it was never an issue since that's the way the client is coded.

Ummm if a froglok can be a paladin, a cleric, a wizard, or a shaman then where do they fall into the picture of lore? And on that note, I see frogloks in Halls of Mielech that are enchanters, mages, necromancers, and shadow knights. I really could care less, just wondering what the lore is explaining this occurance is. /ponder
