WR Guide Site

Yeah, i talked to wiz the other day about a DB dump and its a no go - wants players to find the items themselfs - which i can totaly understand. so its time to start finding away!!
 
however, I cant think of a better way to wet out mouths than to occasionally pop up an item that is buried on some NToV dragon or sleepers boss :)
 
Yeah - thats a good way to inspire.

Although knowing nothing about what a big mob drops is also part of the bonus in taking one of these things on.

Bravo, Irme! I never did get around to those newbie Erudin quests, but...

On a side note, if any Thurg-starting races could submit some newbie quests from that city, the site would be well stocked with low-level quests.

This will prolly be the last update that i post here on the forums (i dont want to annoy you people by spamming my site) but i wanted to let everybody know that the item search is now up and running. There are'nt many items in the database currently but that will change. I am slowly entering data to fill it up. if you would like to contribute feel free and ill add it to the site as well.

If more people would like - i can continue to post ocassional updates here. But anytime i change somthing on the site itself, i post an update there directly.

Its up to you guys. Thats why I am doing this in the first place. To aid all of the players.
 
im lovin that item search, why dont you work with the other dude from compendium... thats why my site died... not enough support from other web devs and fans although i did have a fairly large userbase, not enough support.

keep up the good work and try to work together.
 
Yeah, i tried that dimitriex - he doesnt want to work together - just wants to see who can end up with the better site or somthing. *shrug* who knows.

Dont worry tho. This site won't die - I put any data i find into the database, and any thing that people send me gets added too.

The most simple way for sombody to contribute is to take a screenshot of
an item and email it to me.

Thanks - I coded that, and everything else on the site, myself. I want it to stay quality - and the best way for that to happen is to know every little detail of what every page is doing.
 
Have no fear popbox - i have been, actually my wife has been helping me a lot too, she will go thru wanelo and pull the info for me, and send it to me in a word file so i can enter it easier and faster.

The items database should grow a bit tonight - i have a large word doc waiting at home with my name on it.

I never said "lets see who gets the better site". The reason I want to work apart is because things get done when there is competition. It's a fact of life.
 
ok you didnt say that exactly, it was more along the lines of seeing whos site was more popular? i dont remember.

Either way - both sites get their fair share of visitors, for different reasons.
