Wood Elf Robes

I was wondering if it is possible to give wood elves a robe graphic(Shroud of Vapor). If this is too minor, my apologies, but i was just curious.
 
it would be a major undertaking, and not something i think is even possible for the current team/client
 
The cost to benefit ratio on this is almost infinite. It's not a reasonable undertaking.

That said, LIVE should have had robe graphics for every race from the beginning. A hobbit is a robe is just funny.
 
Yea, would need some client modification but honestly I don't see it being all that big of a problem if someone non-staff wants to figure out how to do it then tell the staff a quick way. You would just need to compare the wood elf files with dark elf since they use the same model. All the other non-robe races would be a different story, but are surely possible.
 
Just be thankful that SoD items dont have the same racial restrictions that live had.


Wood elfs couldn't wear any robes that were inthe game simply because they had no "graphic". Same happened with a few other races and gear. (not sure if this is still the case but was very very annoying playng a wood elf druid and constantly see VERY VERY nice robes go by that humans druids could wear)
 
Well It might be possible if you were to rename model files, and possibly use Human/High elf models, but it would look weird since the model proportions for races is different.

there is robes like that here.. iirc isnt taeshlin robe that way?

long and short: no.

i'm not staff, but i'm fairly certain Wiz isn't very interested in the massive undertaking that would be involed in keeping the server stable while creating our own new model/texture.
