Wizard + Bard or Wizard + Mage

I know there are about a billion duo threads on here, but I figured I would ask about a seldom suggested combo...

On live I played a botted wizard with my bard, and had a blast doing it. Given the changes in the bard class here, plus the apparent need for wizards, I figured I would ask about that combo here. Anyone have any ideas on this pair? Would a mage make a better partner for a wizard? Thoughts?

I would have to say Wiz+ Bard. Steady mana regen, CC, and both classes are desired by groups while still being capable of soloing or duoing.
 
Wizard + Mage in my opinion. Who cares about crowd control when you can just annihilate every pull in less than 10 seconds?
 
Wiz Bard is fucking awesome

I did Wiz Mag 0-65 as my first 2 eq characters and it worked pretty well but there's better stuff

Wtf are you talking about? We log him in at least once a week for peridots.

Bard+whatever is best combo, but Bard and Druid seems to be pretty beastly.

Yeah I'm going to go with this reply. Bards are pretty beastly but their best attributes come out when soloing and when in a full group. When duoing, unless you're good enough to kite on two boxes at once! you might be better with mage/wiz.
