WHO IS KAEZUL? Read this if you don't know.

I keep seeing players who don't know what Kaezul is. Even longtime players, even STAFFERS have it dead wrong. It's getting on my nerves, so here's a brief explanation.

About 25 years ago, ingame time, Kaezul invaded the "old world" of Faydwer and Antonica with his army of iksar and undead and killed everyone he saw. Some refugees from the "good races" made it to Erudin and erected a great whirlwind-barrier around the island with the Erudites to protect themselves from his reach. The "evil" refugees came to Velious and Thurgadin, where Kaezul is kept at bay by the power of the dragons and the giants.

And that's all there is to it! Kaezul is a big powerful necromancer who really wants to kill you very badly, who commands a lot of soldiers and mages and lots of other assorted stuff.

To add to this, from gm events and other storyline. Here is some more info about the storyline I am finding most people do not realize. The dragons are for Kaezul and the change he would bring. The giants, and the other races are against him. The frogs and the rest of the population of the moon are more creations of the Master. There are npcs in tmal (frog city) that go into the history of this. The akheva are also creations of the Master, but you will have to do some research to find out what exactly the storyline is. If you want to get to frog city.. zone connection is nexus, haven of lore, echo caverns (secret entr), fungus grove, twilight sea, tmal. From what i have seen almost everyone starts off as dubious with the frog race. I would encourage those of 20 plus to explore the world and learn from NPCs. Don't fall into the must grind, must get level. Take the time to explore the world and the rich storyline. This is not the same as live that has fallen away from Lore. So take a night off and explore the different cities. I think you will find the information very enlightening.. and when gm events happen you will be more informed and able to know what is happening and not spend the entire event asking questions trying to play catch up.
 
There are refugee's in lfay that explain some about kaezul and who he is.
Also a gnome there explains the fall of akanon.

This leads me to think in the expansion raids on akanon will happen, and if you cant be a gnome killing them is the next best thing!

The lore about a commander of kaezul's army setting up a base i think on faydwer w/ a powerful artifact is pretty neat too. I can only guess its stormkeep if the base is on faydwer.

That's right, but you need a GM event or some minor gm assistance at least to talk to him, am I right? I wish I could go and speak to him some day, so I can join him :hug:
