What's up with caster mobs? (parses included)

For a few days now, caster mobs are totally kicking my ass. At first I thought perhaps it was just the orcs I solo, but after attempting Santru Plaguespeaker in WPL, it seems to be across the board.

Note that Orc Oathbreakers spawn with 9k-14k hitpoints. They appear to have more in these parses because of self-healing. I was bowkiting with self-buffs and KEI/Emp.

12/19
An Orc Oathbreaker: 85 seconds, 11 casts, 522 damage taken by PC, 20316 damage dealt
An Orc Oathbreaker: 89 seconds, 20 casts, 2133 damage taken by PC, 21008 damage dealt
An Orc Oathbreaker: 110 seconds, 25 casts, 2295 damage taken by PC, 25608 damage dealt
An Orc Oathbreaker: 84 seconds, 12 casts, 462 damage taken by PC, 18648 damage dealt
An Orc Forsworn: 91 seconds, 0 casts, 0 damage taken by PC, 16640 damage dealt (was healed by an oathbreaker)
An Orc Oathbreaker: 125 seconds, 17 casts, 782 damage taken by PC, 24978 damage dealt
An Orc Forsworn: 95 seconds, 0 casts, 0 damage taken by PC, 23003 damage dealt
An Orc Oathbreaker: 150 seconds, 34 casts, 1924 damage taken by PC, 30811 damage dealt

*The examples above do not include instances where I would pull more than two oathbreakers, and was forced to snare them all, run a long way away and then camp out because it is now impossible for me to take down three Oathbreakers simultaneously.

12/20
Santru Plaguespeaker: 974 seconds, 128 casts, 9756 damage taken by PC, 142187 damage dealt

*Due to Santru's chain casting, this fight would never have ended had a wizard not run by and I was able to beg her to nuke him dead before he could get off a fifteenth complete heal.

12/21
An Orc Oathbreaker: 224 seconds, 56 casts, 2636 damage taken by PC, 50378 damage dealt
An Orc Oathbreaker: 142 seconds, 27 casts, 676 damage taken by PC, 26224 damage dealt

Conclusion:
Caster mobs now chain casts throughout an entire fight, whereas before they would (usually) cast 4-6 times at the beginning of the fight, then back off until they were nearly dead. Caster mobs also immediately begin to recast whatever they happened to be casting if you manage to interrupt them. Finally, caster mobs seem to have unlimited mana pools, as they never stop casting even during drawn-out fights since these changes occurred.

Has anyone else noticed these changes, and is there some explanation for why these changes were implemented? I've tried to look at the forums and the front page and haven't seen anything regarding this issue.

Thanks,

I noticed the deepocean casters were giving me one hell of a time today, more than usual. Might be because of this.

yeah i just died to two lvl 25 casters in warpstone at lvl 55...mostly because I couldn't dmg them past 80% through their double greater healing or w/e it was...

Yeah i noticed Plague priest mobs were being a bit generous with the CH's, more irritating than anything else but it was satisfying as one stood there casting away i just rambled behind him and assasinated his stinky ass.

Mobs shouldn't have more CH's than clerics lol

I have a theory that mobs don't have to worry about recast timers so it isn't that they have 20 million CH, they just have 1 and don't do recast of it. Just a theory and could be completely and utterly omg wrong.

This has pretty much always been the case as far as I know. 2boxxing goblin whips in RSM used to be a pain since my monk alone couldn't kill them fast enough from 25% to dead without them CHealing, so I'd have to nuke with my druid too.

if you fight the dwarves under thurg, specifically the sks, you will see @15 resists a fight, all harm touch and spear spam. there is no way they have any timer.

Yep.
