What level skill can Backstab and Piercing go up to?

From modification items. It would seem that piercing maxes out at 255 or somewhere around there? Meaning that piercing mod. items are not really that helpful once it is maxxed. I'm also curious about backstab as I can't readily tell if getting another +10 backstab modifcation item is worth it.

+ Archery mod items stack to a total of 25%. I'd assume the same for other weapon skills~
 
I assumed that much, but does it actually do anything? That's what I'm wondering. I know piercing only gave a few extra attack at level 65 whereas when I originally got it, it added much more (at least I thought it did). There's no way to verify now.
