What class population is lacking?

judging by the responses here im thinking about starting a cleric, what race should i choose and where should i put my starting stats? thanks!

To take it further, the story I've heard from so many people is either "I missed X% of the low level/raid tier game and went straight to X level/tier" or "My main is level 55 and not going any higher."......maybe you should blaze through levels and AA's quickly with one or two characters, and take time to smell the roses with another.
 
Oh, and a word of advice. Ask around about quets/adepts in Dalaya's Beginners, and /ooc. The devs on this server spent a fair amount of time making it so the low end rewards arn't trivialized too quickly, and they even put in some low end raid encounters which give you a basic sense of what the raid game will be like.
 
Well what I was really offereing was, "if you want to use my toon to farm plat for yourself to do whatever you want you are welcome to do so." Since Driizz can solo WPL treants really easily he could PL/farm pretty effectively and twink his toons.

Also I really have no intentions of playing again, Draeos got banned and he was really my one friend I enjoyed (most of the time) actually playing (not just sitting in athica chatting) with.

Without wanting to get into any kind of scrap...

I've played 'the other game' for 9 years. On it, I multi-boxed 5 accounts and amassed several million pp. I've made loads of twinks and dropped 10-100kpp on gear for them (+ a top bridle) without thinking.

Here I started with nothing whatsoever, made a ranger and within the 3 days I've had time to play I've worked on quests, am still killing yellows and the proliferation of quality dropped / questable gear vs difficulty of mobs makes twinking - well certainly not a requirement to enjoy.

Just my 2cp - I feel that as a newbie to this server, but definately not the game, the setup here is very well thought out and negates the 'I'm not making any progress at all' that you get in 'the other game'
 
If you are willing to take the time to farm mobs that drop tradeskill items (especially if they give xp, like skellies early on), it isn't that hard for a noob to make some decent cash to get some gear with, also.

This. I'm weird enough to not buy gear, ever, and I've had absolutely no problem leveling up and gearing up on my own along the way. All it takes is a bit of time to look into appropriate quests/drops for your needs and work towards those goals.

And I'd like to add a vote to tanks being stupid hard to find.
