They still have some pretty awesome unique drops worth getting in addition to ancients and scales, like Liam's bo-stick, batty legs, the wr bag, windblade, the breeze shoulders, eto's ear, ocy's tankard...they can drop sinews too I think? This may be out of line, but would an alternative to buffing their loot be making the less desireable (read non-clicky) pieces droppable when not faction-bound? There's already so much out there at or above tier 1 for loot anyway, maybe making some of the pieces droppable would be a decent alternative, giving people farming them for unique drops and progressing guilds both some vendor fodder if nothing else.
That being said, SoD is a game chock-full of the min-max mentality, and WW dragons still get killed pretty damn often, leading me to think it really isn't an issue to begin with.
