Hey, I'm sure this is possible and it would just be a matter of coding it (which you may not want to do at this time) but it would be really cool if you could make a system like Wangelo for vendors, that displayed their current stock and prices, and maybe a log of what they'd sold recently etc.

The use of this would be putting your vendor in your msg board sig so people could see what you had for sale, and checking how it was doing without having to go back to it in game or when you were bored at work :D

Nice idea.

Those vendors are cool. Ive been away from WR for a while so i was really happy to see them when i got back :D

I thought of a few ideas for them too but they are probably too much hassle to implement. I'll mention them tho anyway:

1) A way to sort spells on a Vendor by class. So if you are looking for Wizzy spells and theres like 50 to choose from, you dont have to check every single spell.

2) A way of it remembering what you "checked" the last time you visited that vendor and somehow highlighting any new things that have been added. So if you visit a vendor again after a week or whatever, you dont have to check everything all over again, instead you could just see it was the same as when you last checked, or maybe there is a few new items which you can just look at.

3) If someone's vendor runs out of stock, you can buy it off the other player. Or something.. I dunno. Just seems a shame when im desperate to find my own vendor and i see empty vendors.

The first 2 are probably too much of a hassle to implement tho like i said, and the 3rd one might not be an option - i dont know what it costs to setup a vendor so maybe that would suck. Or maybe it could refund the player or something.

Okay help me here with the Vendor bit that is in question.. I was sure I had read that there was no /trader function as it ahad been tried and had issues and thus removed.

The rentable vendors that you can buy to sell your items, they stay permanently and cost a certain amount of pp to rent. As far as I know the /trader function wouldn't work for that because they're more or less identical to NPC salesmen.

where does one find these rented vendors ?

Sorry to ask stupid stuff but just figure gotta ask to find out right.

Most cities have rented Vendors (Newport, Erudin, Oggok, and I think Halas I know for sure - didn't see any in Underhill).

I forget what exatcly they say - but a rented one will say Vendor and (Player's Name) underneath.

I just found this post and I think it is a good idea and still be based off the bank borne venders (i.e. the listsold system) A way to see what a player has for sale without being at a banker sounds good to me. But I think Maimai is right it would be complex to code. But it is still a good idea.    :)

Its already noted that vendor on fomelo would be nice. There wasn't even a real need to rez this thread =\
