Weapon delay/damage

I use to play live then got sucked into the vortex that is WoW. That being said when I found out about this server I Jumped over here and started playing.

But as to the question, Back when I was playing live there was a Forum post on the official forum that explained the weapon delay vs damage mechanic somewhat simply unfortunately I can't find it anymore and was hoping someone might have a link or be able to provide a quick breakdown.

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you mean... Delay is how quickly your weapon will hit (the lower delay, the better), and damage is how hard it will hit (the higher damage, the better)...

Miscellaneous things:

-On Live (at least when I still played), there was an inherent "bonus" on two handers that scaled with delay. This doesn't exist here.
-If you are a class that can dual-wield, the off-hand works on its own. In other words, for the main hand, every time your main hand weapon is ready to swing, it will swing. For your off-hand, every time your off-hand weapon is ready to swing, there will be a check against your dual wield skill and if successful, it will swing.
-Bows actually deal damage.

Accually I think I worked it out but thanks for the answers and I didn't know that about two handers I'll look into that
