Warrior vs Knights/ranger , what's the big difference?

thanks a lot Melwin, that's all I needed! :) Now im with very few questions to anno... errr, ask you! :D
Can rogues solo well? And why are warriors bad soloers? (all of this without twinking or whatever help from a high lvl char)

Warriors
At the high end, warriors are unquestionably the best tanks. With an aggro weapon and a proc weapon that both have decent ratios, pulling aggro from you is virtually impossible (except for that damn first cleric in the CH chain) and your tanking ability is second to none.

When Melwin said this, he meant druid. ;(
Rogues and warriors can't solo well, especially not with DC'ing, and even when DC'ing you have to be pretty well equiped to do it efficiently.

What?! That means that I wont be able to make a warrior or a rogue then! with so little people in this server, how im supposed to party? ;( (of course, if I make the char after reaching a high lvl with my druid then I will just twink it)

He's on crack.

Rogues might be somewhat difficult to DC with, but not even close to hard, and warriors are the single best half of a DCing duo you can get.

Err, sorry, when I say solo I mean SOLO, just this char, not any dcing (because I cant dc ;( ) , so I just want to know if it's really hard for a warrior and/or rogue to solo, and why.

Warriors/Rogues have no healing outside of bandages. Monks at least have mend if necessary. Soloing for them is just long, arduous, and not very rewarding. Lots and lots of downtime. Expensive too.

Oh boy, this is getting bad... :sadf: What about paladins then? (just paladins, I dont want to be kos on good guards while being a sk)

If even paladins are like warriors/rogues, I'll have to choose a pet class then... like necros and mages :brow:

I imagine paladins wouldn't have too much downtime, but they'd be limited by mana.

I wonder how people here lvl up warriors/rogues without twinking or tanking :brow: ... Well, unless somebody answers for me this excistential question, I guess I'll just make a paladin, or maybe a mage, who knows... I guess im worrying too much for a char I will have in 1 month or more :p If that amount of time is enough to lvl up a druid to 50 from 18 :sadf: 2 hours day to play sucks

Personally I think chanter + druid would be a great dc'ing team, and a lot better than cleric + warrior (unless the warrior has some bad ass equipment).

I Dc'ed My rogue up to 60 Along with my Cleric =\
Soloing Back then was easier but still Rogues Downtime was To insane so i decided at about level 21 i want a cleric and i made one then leveled the up together an since i had a cleric people allways wanted my cleric/rogue for group lol so thats basicly how i got to 60 with my rogue/cleric

I dont care if by dcing you lvl up faster, I told you guys, I CANT DC!!!! I dont know why, but even with 512 ram and 80 gb of harddisk I cant do it, so it doesnt matter for me ;( I wish I could... someobdy named something called Eqnice or something like that, anybody got any idea about it?

It's called eqplaynice and it is DCers heaven. Reduces the frame rate of eq clients running in the background.

Therefore, the DC will take less ram and such because the one in the background is running a much decreased framerate, making it easier to DC.

Thanks a lot! Now I need to find this program, how to run it, and a version that works with wr! If someone is kind enough and gives me a link for eqplaynice that person will save me hours of searching through google :)

Or they will save you seconds of searching through this forum. :D

Nevermind, I just downloaded it, and it works! Thanks eqplaynice! :)
