Warrior Balance

Seems the main reason warriors are unbalanced is agro reasons,

Why not give the warriors a more powerful taunt button? That seems like the most simple approach. Not to say thats all they need but its a great start.

My problem isn't agro, it's lack of hp. I wonder how people who isn't guilded ever get a warrior usable in groups.

Im confused Foonie, there is all kinds of gear singlegroupable with decent hitpoints. Just off the top of my head, Mithril Helmet of Rage, visor of a twisted vision, elven mithril gorget, Encorselled vambraces of bladeturning, ring of thunder and scale and lecatiers ring, warcallers mantle, black plated wristguard, frozen chainmail gloves, platinum fire opal earrings, flowing black silk cloak.

Well I havn't really playd a whole lot since Cmal got implemented, and don't know what half these stuff is. For my warrior I know I can get some upgrades, but are those stuff one groupable for 65 or 56? Because there's a big differense. My point is that at 56 you pretty much need stuff that are one groupable by a 60+ group (since that's where most equipment drop). The stuff that be killed by a 60+ group a 56 warrior can't tank so in order to advance he needs to level. He can't group with the 60+s because of lack of tanking ability, so he has to group with lower levels, which isn't all that fun -- xp wise. (there's more 60+ than 55- characters)

But anyway, my final thought on the topic of the thread is that agro isn't that big a problem, it's more that you have to xp to level 60 before starting to think about equipment. That's at least how I see it.

Yea, there are alot of items you can get 1 groupable. That is, if you can even get a group on this server *rolls eyes*

problem with warriors is the fact that weapons can only proc so much and geneerate so much aggro warriors need to be able to build aggro with taunt instead of just uping their aggro one above everyone else it makes it a constant battle just to keep aggro on the main tank and a ranger can steal aggro away from a warrior if they have say fer instants if a warrior and a ranger bolth are using the bloodletter main hand the ranger will proc more since a main stat to the is dex same if a war and ranger bolth had a ytraz .......rogs simply out dmg a warrior and gain aggro there same with most other melee class's ....there needs to be a way a warrior can gain aggro on himself without depending on his weapons to do it for him....we just don't hit/proc enough with our weapons to do this....easiest way to fix this would etheir be a AA taunt which holds aggro on you for the amount of time it lasts and gains aggro during it so when it no longer is taunted it holds untill the mob is dead this would allow for the warriors to better hold aggro and for other tanks if needed to take aggro away with a quick taunt ......however another main problem is the fact that there is a magor lacking of warrior only weapons that generate a high amount of aggro it's just not cool for a ranger to be able to steal aggro from the tank because he has the same weapon and can proc it more because of his dex. rogs they do deal more dmg and they do a great job of not getting aggro due to evade ...monks have FD the only other class ive noticed that can take aggro from a tank (warrior, pali, shd) is a ranger because of the ability to use just about every aggro weapon a war/pali can use. Pally's and shadowknights get aggro grabing spells to help them grab aggro and keep it...Warriors get the short end of the stick then it comes to aggro end of story....Btw homogen warriors have plenty of HP for tanking and i see alot of group able mobs with uber hp drops just have to find them. warrior equipment is well balanced just the aggro thing i see as a problem.

Rogues get evade and a -aggro #style, rangers get jolt and jolting blades, monks get FD, shadowknights and paladins will only pull aggro if they're actively trying to take it, bards generally don't take aggro unless they want it. On top of this, enchanters get +aggro buffs, and -aggro buffs, and beastlords get a group -aggro 10% and 20% buff. If the warrior is constantly losing aggro, tell these other classes to shape up and manage theirs better.

Changing taunt so that a warrior will never lose aggro is, admittedly, a great way to stop warriors from constantly losing aggro. In the same way that allowing rogues to assassinate up to level 70 mobs is a great way to keep them on top of the melee DPS table.

We could make a large post on evade. Teh problem of agro control starts with spells b4 melee, although better equipped melee accounts for agro loss also. Will post a follow-up when I have more time on this issue.
