So I read the comment about no magician, read through the list carefully, laughed a little as I clicked the gnoll option, and then almost had a heart attack from laughter when I saw the number of votes for gnoll.

All joking aside, cleric or bard is what I would have chosen and both seem to be up there in the "serious" votes. So yea... just go with whatever seems like it would be fun to play, and don't be afraid to dabble with all the classes that interest you. Honestly, the most needed class changes so frequently it's silly to create one you end up hating, grinding to 65 with it and dreading every time you have to log in to raid with it.

Bards and druids sound the most appealing to me, but all classes are pretty well balanced here and have nice specific utilities.

Well I'd think it depends on what you want to do. If you want to solo, go with a necro or ranger. If you want to have a meleeish class and still be dps, and scout and steal go with rogue. If you want to get alot of groups I'd say go with enchanter or cleric. If you like blasting things for a whole lot of damage, go with wizard. If you like splitting mobs, go with monk or sk. So on and so on.

Try a few out.

Take your top 3, and play each to 15-20 or so untill you find one you really like.

Asking other people who you dont know what class suits you best isnt the best way to assure you enjoy yourself.
