Ventjir's Suggestion / Request - To Improve Excitement on WR

Couldn't think of good title to refer all of suggestions / requests im posting, so sum it up to 'Ventjir's Suggestion / Request'.. That way, I wont spam every new topic on sug / req board. Here goes...

Corpse Timer - I noticed corpse timer starts at somewhere 4 min 30 second, its pretty rough to hand out no-drop loots to everyone - expecially GM event, I am requesting you to raise it to 8 ~ 10 min timer.

Pet Corpse - These need to disappear on death, instead of leaving behind empty loot corpse pet. I also they acted weird when npc is near pet corpse, I worked hard soloing named spectre in Dragon Necropolis, I think the named is Wailing Despair or something like that, and named turned toward to one of pet corpse often and when named died, it didnt have any loot on it and I didnt get any exp, i was thinking its pet corpse last blow on named.

Risk VS Reward - I was lil depressed with reward stats on Gem of Channeling, 50 mana, rightclick 20 dd in 3 sec.. these comes from The Geonid Master, the lvl 50ish named.. Lets compare it with Gem of the Geomancer, 2 sta, 25 mana, its almost similar, um well u know how well the item is. To me, Necro, HP is important, 2 sta is great.. it comes from lvl 25ish Geonid Geomancer... Gem of Channeling could use some improvement stats, how about adding 2 str, and 1 sta to it? or adding 10 hp, 2 sta to it? Whatever will make WR players happier with it.

Also for Frost Giant Command Staff, from named giant in Kael (no idea lvl, it was green to 50), it could use some minor stats to it since its 10/29 2hb, or minor improve to dmg (up 1 more? 11/29?).. I heard some 8/28 1hb Tizmak staff coming from GD (i have no idea what lvl are they, maybe somewhere 15s?). Look between this 2hb stats and that 1hb stats.

Loots and Loot Tables in High End - I am starting to notice high lvl mobs arent dropping anything neat.. example, in Western Wastes - stormwolf only dropping meat, rhino only dropping meat, crystal wyrm only dropping meat.. another example, Lost One in Dragon Necropolis only dropping random gems rarely.. That lead funfactor toward to high end players poorly... The funfactor toward newbie in Crystal Cavern was fun since spiders in entrance area dropping Soft Leathers, and all kind of geonid dropping gems with stats, that was fun times. You know, those regular npcs in Western Wastes and Dragon Necropolis could drop new loots, like 'Mask of the Lost One', 'Earring of the Crystal Wyrm', 'Cloak of the Stormwolf', or however you want, I made up the name of loots /shrug... Being level 55 necro here, and i still do not have any mask in my face slot.

Exp Zone - Zones such as Wakening Land is poorly designed for exp grinding players, it is ok for loot farming players. Dulled Geonid was ok exp spot so far, outer area was poor area. It could have more mobs camp around somewhere for better exping.

Economy - Its very rough on this server, gold coin starting to dropping off lvl 40s mob, and platium coin starting to dropping off lvl 51+. Thank god for the luck that one of geonid on the way up to zone-out in Crystal Cave dropped sapphire gem (worth 92 pp to vendor) and with that i was able to buy more spells. Without that luck, I would be trapped with farming low cash gem in Crystal Cavern for a few days... with the #buyaa needing 5000pp, IMO gold coin should be start dropping off 30s instead of 40s, and plat coin should be start dropping off at 40s instead of 51+... It would be taking few days for me to get enough cash to #buyaa. This should be looked into.

I hope I didnt forget any suggestion / request, I think I got it all down here.

If anything here doesnt makes sense, ask me, and i'll try to explain again.

Remember this isnt just for me, this should be for everyone on WintersRoar.

Corpse timer is 5 minutes on mobs of level 54-, but 30 minutes on mobs of 55+.

I'll see if there's any bug with dead pets.

You're sorta forgetting that it's a nice clicky/pulling tool, which is the purpose of the gem. It's usable from inventory.

Forgetting the effect again. The staff procs Cancel Magic, which is its main purpose.

There's plenty of loot dropping high end mobs, but not in western wastelands. The dungeons are where to go if you want loot. Most high end dungeon mobs drop quest armor/gems, and places like DN are bristling with named camps.

WL would be better if Melwin ever finished the wandering there.

makes me wonder how did those original EQ people get enough money from mobs, NPCs didnt pay much and mobs dropped little

we didnt.

we had to be sneaky

my brother and I were selling mesh armor for a platinum per AC to monks who had no idea where it was coming from.

Without that, I wouldnt have afforded many of my spells, let alone equipment.

They dropped 27pp axes back in the good old days :)

Dorf farming ruined everything! Casters who could solo them all day were leveling and amassing huge caches of cash. When they started buying everything for large PP, everyone had to step up to remain competitive.

I remember when selling full suits of Bronze armor was big business.
 
Well, i dunno. My first day on the server i made 100pp in Tox.....the bandits drop good loots, soloable by a lv5, and then the Kobold camps drop a shiny brass idol, with Named Gnash dropping 1pp in cash also....oh, and someone game me some cash also :)

Solo Farming basement in Unrest (~4pp per FS weapon, plus shield, axe, ring and boots from Ghost)

Solo farming Giants in FV when Forest Loops still sold for 1k+

There were TONS of ways to make cash in EQ... most of them were just boring as all hell.
