Vendor Sales Item Notification

I don't know how many other people there are like me who have group splits going to about 35 different characters, but I have been thinking about the shortcoming aspect of selling a large amount of items on a listsold vendor. Whenever you sell an item, there is no notification of which item actually sold. When you have about 12-20 items that often sell from the same vendor, it takes awhile to actually pinpoint which item has sold, so that I can write down who is getting how much money based on their name being on that particular item and split date.

Basically in a nutshell...

it would be amazingly helpful if when you sold an item through listsold vendors, it notified you somehow which items sold for how much.

/cm listget
You receive 22538.0 platinum

*Then I look at all my papers, the bank vendor slots, and slowly but surely figure out all the items that sold based on the prices in my group split journal*

What would be nice is:

/cm listget
You receive 22538.0 platinum
Your Pulsating Bead sold for 3000.0 platinum (-bank fee)
Your Jailor's Keyring sold for 2000.0 platinum (-bank fee)
etc etc.

-OR-

/cm listget
You receive 22538.0 platinum
You receive bank note
You receive bank note
You receive bank note

*right click bank note*
(Pulsating Bead sold for 3000.0 platinum, -bank fee)

*right click other bank note*
(Jailor's Keyring sold for 2000.0 platinum, -bank fee)

Option #1 would be prefered due to possibly limited inventory/bank space on characters which is already crowded, but I was throwing option #2 out there just because I'm not sure what is feasible from a programmer's standpoint.

I think adding sales notifications that display what items sold from that lump of money that comes in.. would be a very helpful feature for people like me who take the time/effort to sell large amounts of group split items. It would make my life so much easier, and may even make people with a real life job able to do this too! (I spend like a half hour every morning going through all my vendors and looking through my lists carefully so that I do not make mistakes)

+1 to this idea. So many times I log in and find I sold something, and then try to remember what stuff I had for sale, to see if I can pinpoint the one(s) that sold.

Awesome idea, but it's been suggested before. Was said then it couldn't be done for some reason or another.

just assume everything you're selling is going to a group split that i was somehow apart of. thanks sept.

2nd Suggestion isn't possible, you would have an individual item ID for every single note, and an extra document that contains the actual text on top of that.

It might also be just as easy to change the /cm listprice/listsend commands to also accept up to 5 names.
/cm listprice 2000 Dracolz Kakos Hanus Daneross Thazz
On the listbuy/listaccept event, split the money evenly between the seller and the 5 people's banks.
Though you would have to update the table that keeps track of listsolds to have up to 5 additional parameters, as well as do a check on creation that names are valid character names.

I don't imagine there are that many players who sell things for groups and all that, and it seems to me that those who do would already be taking the time to keep track of who helped get what item, so it doesn't seem that much of a stretch to imagine the same people keeping track of what bank slot such an item was in and how much it was put up for.

Regardless of this, I think that anything that makes it easier/encourages grouping for splits over solo/duo plat farming is probably worth it, I like this idea.

I do think that a simple breakdown of what sold and for how much is plenty though, I don't see a reason to list items with a string of a 100 characters for group member names after them

I don't know if it would make it any easier to implement, but even just listing the items that sold without their associated prices would clear up a lot of the headache I think.

/cm listget
You sold Bloody Cloak of the Offering.
You sold Miasmatic Shard.
You sold Hand of the Warden.
You receive 4410.0 platinum.

Just having the items listed gives a player the really necessary info for what sold and to figure for how much.
