Vampiric Lore does not work?

Has anyone else noticed the AA - Vampiric Lore does not work?

It is suppose to be as stated - Vampiric Lore - This ability allows your lifetap type spells to perform critical blasts.

You can train into this AA 3 times. I have level 2 in this AA, and i have never done a critical yet. I use my lifetaps alot, and it would be nice if this could be looked into.

I have one rank as a SK but havne't seen it work, but i thinks it beacause i haven't spent any points in the normal spell casting fury.. u do have theability to crit nuke normally right??
 
Yes I have the ability to Crit, but i think i have only ever crit once with a DD on an Undead.

It would be nice to Crit with my Lifetap. The only thing i have seen so far that increases my DD is Damage increment, I have Damage increment V.

Better Yet i would love to see an AA for Dot damage increase, think its called Affliction.

If crit chance is anything like exceptional healing chance...it should happen enough. I've got healing gift 3, and advanced healing gift 3 and it's pretty nice, I believe after all that I have an 18% chance, or something around there....if you have your criting maxed, it should happen more often than what your saying...I know I've seen Homarg crit alot vs undead. I don't know about life tapping, but that seems incredibly rare. Maybe it's bugged?

(I think Affliction Enchancement is good enough for dots, Affliction 3 is already awesome, just rare to get. If you get an AA that increases your DoT damage a tick, AND Affliction 1+ it might be pretty unbalanced)
 
I will simply state this as, a Necros bread and butter is Dots. Argue what you want but that is the truth, I have played a Necro on live, and I play a Necro here. Yes, we can do other things, but we are Masters of Dots.

Nice that you have things to help make you more efficient on raids. Wish I did. And maybe I feel that you are more unbalanced.

I’m not going to get into the class issue, or have this thread get out of hand. I simply want to know if the AA Vampiric Lore works as Wiz intended……..

The AA for Affliction was simply a wish or a hint to Wiz, nothing more nothing less.

Ok, sorry for giving you input and stating my opinion.


*edit*For the record, you were the one who went off topic and started talking about AAs that aren't even related to life tap, I merely gave my opinion and a possible suggestion. Perhaps looking into the AA and making sure it's working so that the crit chance is higher, is a better idea? no? Anyways, sorry for my input. Was only trying to help*edit*
 
There's no way of giving necros a DoT enhancement AA without changing a current necro-only passive or giving it to all classes, so it's a moot point.

If Vampiric Lore isn't affecting lifetaps, then it's a bug and should be buglisted, not discussed.
