Uses for Languages

Don't know it's possible or not, but why not make some quests and/or spells be done in a different language. Ex: Must be a master of Elder Dragon to understand a quest some NPC is giving you, or must be proficient in Orcish to understand and scribe new spells implemented. Would make it more crucial to learn different languages and practice them with other ppl and give a use to the 15 languages that I know lol.

Actually that does sound like an interesting concept! I mean, I always wondered what is the use of having so many different languages? :brow: I think it would be interesting to see those types of quests!

I third the notion...I spent alot of time on live doing that only to be completely disappointed when i couldnt actually talk to the gnolls. Ahhhh the memorys=)

This is a very good suggestion, I'd maybe start a quest in the common tongue or at least part of the paragraph. That way people could get the jist of what the quest was about... then to get the quester NPC to give the details or accept items the adventurer must be able to respond in said language. (that might help prevent one person learning the language and just telling everyone the quest and speaking for them)
