With the recent storyline involving Kaezul and the RP guild meeting for a leader for the upcoming fights and actions against Kaezul

There are certain aspects of the storyline that shows there will be 2 sides (Kaezul(evil) and (RP players(good)) Basicly what is happened so far is everyoen is put on the good sides. Well for the sack of roleplaying and choices to the players there is no choice to join the evil side. I know with my characters that i would love to join kaezul's side cause of my iksar history and link to him.We need a way to make it so people can join the evil side and it be seperate evil players vs good players. This would also make a great part in teh storyline cause it could change the way it affects and events like pvp /npc war in certain zones would have good players fighting the evil players. So this would also make good events.

Solution:d i
2 New factions (Kaezul and Bearers of Truth)
Implement quests that would reward you for joining either side (like a pendent with a faciotn modifier for the side you areon , also have the quest give faciton increase to the side you want to join, quest can only be done once) that way when it comes for events and say there is a war you can implement npcs on both faction on both sides so players can fight alongside with their faction army without worry about being attacked by their own side. of course we have to make it so
Benefits:
-players have more choices in what role they play in the storyline
-New quests for related factions
-Maybe we can hold bi-weekly events where good fights the evil side and something changes for that week.(In lineage they had the sky change colors and certain thingshappen if a certain side won the event)
-you can do events for certain sides to help develop the story better so that way we dont see it from 1 point of view only we can see it from 2 sides.

Thats just an idea i type dit up quick kidna sloppy if you want me to go more into let me know. I would even volunteer to help think of the lore for the quests and stuff. But I believe there should be a way for players to join the evil side also not everyone just forced onto the good side.

Please post your ideas help us find a way to make this work

The way I remember it, Kaezul even destroyed necromancers in the Prison, but perhaps he was insulted because they were impure or something. I would also imagine something significant would need to happen with Bearers of Truth before an opposite faction arose. Ruin from what I hear already supports Kaezul in whatever fashion.

Something significant would probably include making players KOS in several cities since those were founded by the survivors, which would be odd considering Ruin has many vendors in Newport.

Personally, I would like to see something happen with Grobb since I think it has the closest link to Kaezul's faction because of the Iksar. And then there is that infection from High Keep. Maybe something odd like some sort of faction setup could be placed there. But what do I know? :? Considering Marlow is related to death, that may fit in with an NPC.

I really like the idea of thigns changing depending on which side wins. After all, and i've only been to two events mind you and one was noncombative, whatever the outcome in the end nothing changed so far. I like the idea of a consaquince for failure. However if we do a situation where the world changes we need to at least give players a way to survive instead of having everythign go to hell with no chance of recovery.

From my point of view, this can't be done. This is because Kaezul doesn't want followers, and won't bother giving them magical artifacts to help them counter the Bearers (and allies). He just seems to want death, and in some cases (as stated by Baldakos) ultimate death.

I have to agree, from what Baldakos said, he doesn't want you alive, but he'll be glad to have you dead. So, I guess siding up with Kaezul would mean your become undead?? I'm not even sure, more like you simply would'nt exist anymore, which means creating a new race?? or just not having that character anymore, doesn't make sense. Worshipping Kaezul will basically get you nothing, no items, no assistance, no powers (spells), just death, so yeah you can worship him if you want to see all the races end, including yours and your own, but to me is kinda silly; but people do silly things all the time that cause great destruction and I'm sure will eventually cause total ruin. Plus, another issue crops up with the whole PvP thing....Alot of the Bearers are folks that placed alts in the guild because of not wanting to leave their old guild. Soooo, alot of the Bearers are low end, PvP wouldn't be much fun and many would have to choose sides or 2 box for both sides. I think if you want to become involved with this whole thing, then just join up with the Bearers, Wiz did implement this so we would have a roleplay that wasn't filled with: OMG, this is gay, this blah blah pwns, this ftw, stfu, etc. Which we would have if people that didn't care to roleplay, joined. ( And now I wait for the comments: STFU, you're gay, I pwn, lol). Oh well

I think it would be cool to have a great war of sorts where the people of Dalaya attempt to take back thier cities. A GM run event where winning or losing would affect the future of the storyline.

Baldakos says, 'Kaezul's graces bring many gifts.'
Baldakos says, 'Perhaps I will take the mantle of the liche, by choice.

Baldakos says, 'I do not intend to trick anyone into the right path.'
Baldakos says, 'Such would be meaningless.'
Baldakos says, 'Only those who are worthy will find it.'
Baldakos says, 'And only those who are worth have a future
Allielyn says, 'ha! You would force anyone by necromantic arts, but you will not "trick" us? Your humor is rich, sir. Rich indeed'
Baldakos says, 'Your logic is addled.'
Baldakos says, 'I have nothing against enslaving the weak.'
(he says the weak not the strong, the people that strong will find the right path he says.)
Baldakos says, 'I will cleanse this world of all its weak. Those who are strong, those who understand, will join me.'

Baldakos says, 'I'm hoping a few of you poor souls will come to see the truth.'
Kemper says, 'Hmm Baldakos the Recruiter then. You shall find no takers in this group.'
(looks like to me hes lookign for people to join him)
Baldakos says, 'I don't 'ask'. If you are interested in my offer, you will find a way to approach me. I offer purpose and strength, unity under Kaezul, and a new, glorious world for those strong enough to take it.'
(and here again . . .)

Looks like to me there must be a way to join . . . even Baldakos says himself hes offering.

When Kaezul came, he made individual pacts of non-aggression with all the city-states there to prevent them from teaming up and slaughtered them one by one in quick succesion. Slaughtered - not conquered. He had no use for more lands or followers and it would just be a source of rebellion.
Anyways, everyone is free to think what he wants about Kaezul's intentions.
