no its a on board intel chip. it doesnt have a lot of video ram, it reserves some for itself from your ram through the bios, when the bios passes off the hardware info to the os when it boots. its one of the ways hardware manufacturers save money. the margin on most pcs is godawful and on board is a shortcut.Reserved for when it needs to be used?
the intel chip always uses it to show pictures.
i, also, don't understand what you mean by "utilizing" the ram. the os sees the ram and will use it by allocating it to software on demand as it needs it. this isnt a windows os where the os pre-loads everything on the disk in the background into memory, and then pushes it into pagefile.sys [rotflmao], whether you are using it on not. hoping to make you think it runs faster then it actually does but usually just causing stutters.
