Of course, leave it to me to whine about yet another Bard song. I am curious if this song could have its recast shortened or have its duration increased (by one or two ticks). I guess this is just supposed to be used in emergencies, but it seems once I AE mez a group and then it breaks 4 ticks later, I just get the crap kicked out of me until I have them all single mezzed. I believe the enchanter AE PB mezz has a ~2 second recast. Now, I realize the song is free and that it should not be able to perma mezz a group of mobs, but if you get a few resists when you cast it, then the long recast makes it not very useful. Lowering the recast by one or two ticks or increasing the duration for an extra tick would be helpful to get all of the mobs single mezzed or rooted.

Maybe I am too used to the level 15 AE mezzed that pulsed and kicked all kinds of ass, so I don't really expect much from this. Just wanted to see if any change was possible (the resist adjust is -10, so it helps, but MOBs still resist quite a bit with 200+ charisma). Just seems kind of hard to keep a song like this with a long recast memmed when I would only use it for "bad pulls".

I use this song ALL the time. If I'm grouping, it is constantly in my lineup with ancient mez.

Someone pulls three, I slap down AE mez, then it gives me ample time to pick off my two single mez targets. Or if I have an enchanter, I always AE mez on the incoming, then let the enchanter pick it off. If I'm grouping with my cleric, I slap down AE mez, run up with Avaline and smack down AE root, then back off and single target root them for easy CC. Heck, even if it's a twopull I use AE mez. That way I don't have to figure out which one the tank is attacking first, I just do them both then pick off the one that doesn't get woken up.

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't like it if it chain pulsed AE mez like it did when melody changes first went in, but that was pretty hax at the time. . .

Also for reference, enchanter AE mez is often a bad idea because they end up mezzing themselves =(. Kind of makes it hard for the enchanter to pick them off one at a time like we can.
 
Enchanters also have PB AE which shouldn't affect them, correct? Yes, I believe a pulsing AE mezz would be far too broken (though I wouldn't mind it!). I just thought maybe the recast or duration could be decreased/increased respectively. Probably not a big enough deal to get it changed. I have it memmed at the moment, but was pretty disappointed in the outcome over the course of a few XP grinds. Maybe I will sing a different tune when I try it out a bit more (obviously no pun intended). Thanks for the feedback!

As far as I understand, all AE enchanter mezzes hit the enchanter, too. I could be wrong though.

But yeah, Tunes of Apathy is one of my favorites. Don't just use it by itself, usually the duration isn't long enough to keep them locked down. But in conjunction with other mezzes, it becomes very handy.
 
Enchanter AOE mezes are targeted, and they can mez themselves. The PBAOEs they have are much shorter lasting Stuns, not mezes. And with the 2 second recast, an enchanter (or at least my enchanter) usually has to have 2 different PBAOE stuns up in case of resists.
