Treasure Hunts

I searched the forums and the wiki but found almost no info on treasure hunts. Is there a list or some info on them somewhere?

In particular I'm looking for info on the one that drops a bracer that summons throwing knives. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

You need a treasure map which can be obtained from like 55+ dungeons / areas or whilst fishing in an ocean with 200 fishing skill. The map then leads you to a spot in a zone, where you dig with a shovel and mobs spawn. You'll need a couple groups of 60+ (exact amount depends greatly on the difficulty of the treasure map) to defeat the mobs, then you get a treasure box with loot inside.

Thanks Siquros, that is the information that I was looking for. It'll be a while before I do any treasure hunts...no summoned knives for me ;(

Wiki is cool...just type in a keyword you want to search for and it will pop up anything with that word in it. It is kind of sparse now, but I suppose that is up to us to build the database.

I don't like having to search for things, I'm used to the lazy websites with point and click glowing links.

Sorry if moving your greasy mouse wheel an extra 3 notches is a strain.

this coming from someone who can't do a search?? just teasing man.
the sig is too big, but it's funny. you can just edit it in ms paint and change the scale...unless that's too much work.

I prefer the size it is, I enjoy the comments I've been getting. I will add every comment on it to my sig, the more people complain, the bigger it will grow.

I'm thinking: No it won't.

This quote is now almost as big as my previous sig, hooray.

Congrats on being stupid.

Anyway, regarding treasure hunts, you can cast identify on the map and it will tell you what it is (i.e. the difficulty level). They range from very easy, to I assume very hard. I've done a very easy, and moderate, and let me say this, the moderate took two groups roughly 60 +, with the mobs being 57 - 58 that summoned, hit very hard, and each wave / dig was two to three mobs. After four or five waves, the map was over, the treasure popped up, and we got our loot.

Now, the very easy was two waves of blue mobs that didn't hit hard, didn't summon (to the best of my knowledge) and upon looting, the bag was on it. The bag in question summoned daggers. So no, it's not a bracer, although perhaps there is a bracer that drops, but I would assume there'd only be one loot that has that sort of effect on it.

As for specific info, treasure chests are randomly generated in accordance (this I assume) to their difficulty. The harder the hunt, the better the treasure.

Happy digging.

Thanks for the info Rambler. It's my fault...I just assumed the item would be a bracer out of habbit. My summoned shirukens in EQlive were from a bracer. I have to remind myself sometimes that this is deffinately not live and other than being a noob all over again, I prefer this to live muchly!
