Translocation Heartland

Inside the serious of wizard teleports for each minus planar ports is a translocation to simplify giving wizard services without the need to put the wizard out as much. Inside the creation of theses teleports the heartland version was left out or simply forgotten.

My request is that the spell be implimented. It could be put on the same merchant as it would follow current theme and would have no adverse effect on balance but would help wizards doing their porting good deeds.

Thank you for your consideration.

I heartily agree! (no pun intended)

I'd love to see Translocate Heartlands as a spell, even if it was lvl 59 spell. Half the time when people are wanting to go there I end up TLing them to Badlands strictly because I either am doing something or just don't feel like zoning twice (once to heartlands and another back to town)

Can't find it but I remember hearing from Wiz or someone else that there was already too many wiz spells and it was a no go or something like that...
But would make sense.

IIRC the reasoning was more that adding a complete set of teleports/gates/translocates/mass ports would increase the amount of dropped spells for wizards and druids far beyond other classes. Something that was discussed back then was removing all port spells from the standard "spell" loot table, and instead making a seperate loot table just for all the port spells, but I have no idea how or if that was ever fleshed out.

Regardless, the Heartland ports don't drop, they come from a vendor, so hopefully adding a tl there wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I support this, and am tacking on a request to add in the other missing port spells, which refuse to come to mind at this early hour.

It is known as the most annoying port. No one wants to run to heartland, and no wizard wants to port there either when all other spells of the like have an upgrade to translocation later on. It makes no logical sense and is not lore wise that can be found.

Support your Wizards and yourself, say yes to translocation Heartlands!

Due to the Heartlands magical properties (see main quest for details) Wizards cannot simply send people there, it takes alot of powerful energies to teleport to the Heartlands, so Wizards have to accompany their allies along the way.

Isn't the idea behind translocation that you have become more powerful and have learned new ways of scattering the atoms and reforming them at the specific spot? I would think logic would say that translocation is more powerful than a group spell as you are having to guide the atoms from far away instead of while with them.

So in short: If we are powerful enough to teleport past the magical properties with a group port, we should be able to translocate past them as well as translocation is more powerful than group. Makes sense to me.

Makes sense to me.

Because it is what you want to happen.

Xach is right in that Heartlands is indeed a unique place when it comes to magical properties. Unlinke every other wizard port spell, where is the only place you can get the heartlands port? You aren't looking at this objectively.
