I did a search and didn't see any mention of this, so I thought I'd post. Please shut this thread down if this has been discussed before. Miners pretty much only supply blacksmiths with ore, but I think it would be sweet if mining took on a larger role in the game. Right now it looks like the major metals for jewelcrafting are silver, electrum, gold, and platinum. Miners can already mine silver, but there are no molds for blacksmiths to create silver bars. If electrum, gold, and platinum could be replaced with dalium, mithril, and obsidian (or if the entire jewelcraft metal range could be expanded to include all mined metals), I think it would mean good things for the entire player economy. There's probably a ton of hassle involved in this, but it would enrich the trade skill system a bit. Miners produce ore which is processed through blacksmithing into ingots for armor/weapons or bars for jewelcrafting. I'm sure a process of refining ores similar to making ingots could be used to create bars. How much ore constitutes a bar is definitely a matter for debate, though. If I'm out of line on this, please just bin this post. Thanks
