To patch, or not to patch?

The EQEmulator website says to install Titanium, but not to patch after that. The SoD site says to install the game and patch completely before running the SoD patcher. Which do I do? It seems that if I patch completely to Live that it would mess up EQEmu based on their instructions, but is that what I have to do to get SoD to work? I searched and searched for the answer to this question, but could not find it. I'm not sure if I'm just reading each site's instructions wrong or what. Thanks for your help :)

Alrighty. I just thought that maybe since SoD is a subset of EQEmu (or at least I was under the impression it was, since I found this site through EQEmu) that maybe one had to use EQEmu's instructions. Guess not.

Thanks for your quick response!

to play on SoD you need to patch to live using sony's patcher.. and then patch to our game using SoD's patcher, try not to use sony's patcher again after that

to play on EQEmu you need to have a pure titanium install

so.. to play on both you need to have two seperate folders

accually i have EQ Platinum. i have simply just installed from CDs, downloaded the SoD Patcher and patched with SoD and was able to play. didnt patch to Live.

Patch to LIVE! If you don't you will be missing out on alot of features and mobs will look like humans blah blah and certain zones.

We don't have much to do with EQEmu anymore. Maybe we still use a litle bit of their code, I don't know, but I think it's mostly been rewritten.
