Thought Horrors

I know that it is a known bug that the Thought Horrors are...fubar. Last night I was duoing in there, and they aren't hard for me, until they randomly spam mana drain/DD me. As I tried to run from a TH that was at 1% health it kept stunning me, the instant the stun wore off I was stunned again, wash rinse and repeat. I'm sure you've heard this before, so my suggestion is, take out the thought horrors and put something less buggy. I would like to XP there, and get some of the nice random drops, however, with no cleric in my duo I've eaten 3 debts tonight from this.

Please consider this. Everyone on the server is afraid of these things, unless they have 200+ magic resist. Even then, it's a bug that's killing me, not the mobs difficulty. Thanks =\
 
Shiritris Ward is your friend! In one more aa mine will be 15% extended and you can have it whenever you want. Mmmm, love me my shiritris!
 
On a side note, could you post, message me, or put the "nice random drops" on our website? Im intrigued hehe.
 
Young thought horrors are bugged, from time to time they chain cast their stun spell over and over and over and over.... like 20times / tick, Wiz has recoded them ALOT of times but the bug still exists so from what I know he don't know how to fix em.

Replacing the mobs with a different type won't fix it?
 
It will. These mobs aren't that hard when they are normal. And if the problem can't be fixed (whatever their bug is), then I'm saying perhaps putting in a different type of mob is in order. I would like some of the loot drops there, however It's not possible to kill those right now. The chance of a random DD/mana spam until you die is just too much of a risk.
 
So i am going to assume that it is impossible to give procs(their ability?) a recast time? That seems like it would fix this, at least 1 or 2 seconds should do it IMO, but then again, from what it looks like, measures have allready been attempted.
 
The issue is that I have never ever ever been able to reproduce this problem.
 
If you have time, send me a tell in game and I'll go there and show you. It happened to me about once an hour. Next time I'll screenshot it....if I go back :(
 
As much as I like my current hunting spot, I have to admit that I notice the same thing. I use Diznacah thralls in spirit valley, and they have a stun/dd ability. And, although I admit i see it very rarely, i have seen my charm pet kill mobs before reaching them, by casting this ability so many times, so fast, that the mob dies instantly.......Only posting this because:

A) if its misuse of a bug, i dont want to be banned and
B) to show that the others arent telling a lie, it really happens with mobs.
 
hmmm, that could be relevent. Sometimes when fighting in spirit valley with the diznacas(as pets ) that seem to behave the same way, I get messages such as "that is not a legal target master" or target is out of range. Even when I know the mob I want is targeted and i am hitting attack, AND it isn't my pet that im trying to kill lol. So, maybe you could be right, would be easy to test at least im guessing.

Oh yea, and if my post didn't make sense: my idea was that because i was getting those messages sometimes, it could be possible that my charm pet was getting sent in to attack a mob and then the mob would become "not a legal target" or somesuch, and that could be why he would insta kill a mob through mega stun/DD use ?

Anyways...then again, i know i have seen this happen at least once durring a stand still fight ....intriguing.
 
i can confirm this. i also made the experience that it happens when you pull them through walls.
 
i went to just double check and do a little testing while exping, and i found a good test room that i can pull through. Indeed, it works like a charm to trigger this behavior.
 
OK, thanks to the info here I was able to reproduce and fix this issue. It will be patched soon.
