I'd love to tag along again tonight. But, I probably won't be on until 12am CDT. I'll watch out for you guys once I log on.

;) O.K. lets try it again! 10 pm EST . Got to hit the rec center tonight but s/b back by then. Meet at Oasis docks again? Sounds like Elandar (22 cleric) is not avail until later after we start. I am hoping we can get another cleric till he pops up. Too hard by myself. Drawdes heals as a level 24 cleric were vital in last engagement. We had three clerics and all three were OOM at the end. (made for a spectacular finish tho!) ;)

Marmee 23 Cleric

I can be there. I've upped my wis 15 since last night, so it'll help a little. Marmee, do you still have the potions I gave you?

Drawde - 25 Cleric

---Edit---

Server locked, so I'm not sure.

A bit of a note about adepts. As part of this week's tweaks I am making them resist/avoid like a mob of their engage level rather than their real level, so that there's a broader range of player levels that can hurt them.

Thanks Wiz. I'm sure that will help the casters out there who aren't quite engage level and thus aren't able to land any spells. Well, at least on the Wind Hag I wasn't able to. I can't say for any of the other ones.

Howdy Drawde! Yes, I have those spells .. . I also tried to get on earlier but server locked. Hope its up now.

We're going to have to move the raid back a bit, let's make it midnight est, hopefully the server will have opened by then and I will have time to do a few errands in game before we start.

edit: Wiz says the patch is taking much longer than expected, which means we're just going to have to wait. I'm not even going to try to give a time until word has come down that everything's done.

Private channels are not enabled in SoD. I see some people raiding using /shout for raid commands.

yes, thank you. We figured this out the hard way when i kept trying out random commands such as /createchannel, /newchannel, /joinchannel. /discoverychannel....nothing :( We finally just used default raid channel and told everybody stupid crap goes in g-speak if anywhere at all.

When I was using shout some old fogies in OSM were mocking me by saying YES SIR to my commands  but it's all in good fun...bet they were cool guys.

Wooo boy, I hope people haven't already gone through withdrawl and are finishing up SoD detox, cuz then we'll lose like half the playerbase lol. Wish I could sit in with Wiz and see what kinda stuff they're doin for us.

ATTENTION, ATTENTION I'm starting a raid right now, because the conditions are just right. I'm sorry for the short notice, but I think its a great opportunity, and the server being down for so long has prevented me from making a coordinated attack plan. So if you're on go to Oasis right NOW!

Wow, tonight was legendary. I can't believe we were able to organize something so quickly. Thanks to all the regulars who showed up and thanks to the newcomers who helped us round out the team.

We struck the spectre first, and the hour was perfect as the sun still weakened his brittle musty bones. We gathered our forces in North Tarhyl and readied our charge:

I started off a little shaky and the healers had trouble keeping up with the spectre's strikes. I died before I could even take pictures! I got a bit worried that my death was going to spell defeat for my troops, but they fought expertly. I'll let someone else fill you in on the details, as I was mostly waiting at the Oasis docks

Congratulations to newcomer Koomoo! He won the http://www.angrygamer.net/sodwiki/index.php?title=Hunting_Warscythe ! It's a great weapon as you can see.

man I was jealous, the short stack can barely even hold the thing haha.

One of the newcomers won the http://www.angrygamer.net/sodwiki/index.php?title=Sash_of_Ethereal_Energy but he found the generosity in his heart to let Drawde have it. I tried to take a picture of drawde:

but he was spacing out and wouldn't get up...what a spaz.

When we realized that pretty much everyone was up to taking the fight to the wind hag and getting our revenge for wednesday night, we happily proceeded to the Obsidian Shard Mountains.

I looked upon my group with pride, as I thought about our next strategy:

We rushed forward and executed our plan:

I tanked the hag and my group fought at my side, Elandar's squad made sure the summoned wind elementals didn't give us trouble, and a mage we grabbed took charge of blasting the Hag at the alloted time. With a final burst of flame....

our target was defeated!

Congratulations to Jarrol:

who rightfully earned the http://www.angrygamer.net/sodwiki/index.php?title=Windfeather_Headband , he deserves it and more for selflessly helping us get around with his druid's ports. I need to emphasize that it would have been impossible to do this as effectively without his help.

Qubeley, A fellow guildmember of mine won the http://www.angrygamer.net/sodwiki/index.php?title=Hag_Claw

She asked me if I wanted it, and I gratefully accepted. I must admit I'm a bit ashamed at so readily receiving the loot, since as leader I should ensure everyone gets their fair share. Hope you guys don't get too upset about that.

After deftly defeating the Wind Hag my dear hunters let me know that most of them were pumped up and ready to follow me to kill Huntfang, and complete our adept curcuit in one night!

Sadly, our trackers could not find our final target, and we parted ways for the night. I'm sorry guys, I have no idea why she wasn't up...I doubt anyone else took her, as we pretty much held the monopoly on people in our level range, haha.

A very big thanks to everyone who has participated thus far! Your able hands have proven that we don't need a big server to organize a successful raid consisting of lowbies like us. I hope many of you decide to follow us along our progression. However I understand people's wishes to perhaps move on. I for one will be progressing to the next few adepts, at least. Here's hoping there's a few hunters who will come along for the ride.

I'm going to try to organize a raid tommorow for Huntfang, if we have enough regulars who are up for it. I want to make it up to the folks who missed out on tonight's hastily announced raid. I'm not going to do a raid unless some of the folks who have been with me for this long are part of it. If you want to be a part of it though, don't hesitate to post, and we'll be sure to find a place for you.

So basicly a guildie who didnt want the item rolled and "passed" it to you even though you had presumably lost the roll? That sounds pretty crooked to me.

He means that the idea behind rolling is that only people who wants the item can roll for it. Or you could just have 5 friends roll for you and have 5 times the chance of winning.

No need to be an ass. I was there and lost on the roll, and had no problem with Quebeley passing it to Draknor. He has worked hard on these raids and deserves something for his effort. However, to quell the conspiracy theorists, I would suggest as a policy for the raids, that if the winner decides to pass on a roll, the item goes to the next highest roller, and not the winners choice.

Sorry but.. but. There hasn't been an ass here. Rules are so simple, it's not even funny. Ypu want a piece? Roll. You don't? Don't roll. Since it's all nodrop, don't roll if you don't want it. Or let it rot. "I will roll for you and you may loot since I don't need it" iwill bring you some nice endless discussions. So just let it be.

Who said Quebeley didnt want it? You are totally making an assumption there, and yes it is being an ass by accusing Draknor of pre-arranging it.
There has been quite a few times in my years of playing that I wanted an item, but also wanted it just as much for a friend of mine. Why would you do something like that you ask? For example, a weapon is an upgrade for both of us, however it would be a minor upgrade for me, and a major one for him. In that case, yes, I WANT the item, but in the interest of progression and friendship, I would pass to my buddy.
Does that mean I shouldn't roll at all? I dont think so. Like I said, I do want the item, and if my buddy isn't going to end up with it, then I should.

As I said, to quell the conspiracy theorists, if the winner passes the roll, it goes to the next highest roller, and not the person the original winner chooses. That way your buddy can only get it if he is the 2nd highest roller.

That's fine with me. I didn't expect qubeley to give me the claw and if I had thought that was the case I would have requested she didn't roll. Before I looted the item I told everyone that Qubeley had chosen to give it to me in case anyone had a problem with it. I honestly didn't see anything wrong with it as people had previously gotten loot this way and there were no complaints. I wasn't familiar with it being considered unethical for things to be carried out this way. This is all I'm going to say about it, as I think it would be foolish to mar the wonderful thing we have going here with suggestions of corruption, trickery or greed.

I won't be rolling for loot on the next 25 raid, to make up for the faux pas I committed. We will from this point on let everyone know not to roll unless they're going to loot the item, and if for any reason they do happen to roll and not want to loot, it will go to the next highest person.

Thank you all for coming to the raid.

ps: I might be on my alt Vortexium, if you need to contact me

Sorry I didnt make it to that one had to tear down a shed will hopefully make it to the next one ^.^

Sorry, I didn't want to make any conspiracy theories, just see it as a tip. People ARE asses when it comes to loot, I learned it the hard way by leading and organizing open Time raids. Those experiences lead to the rule, that people who roled on an item they didn't want got an instant TL to bindspot.

Anyway, wish I had a twink to take part. Seems you do a nice job here ;)

Kyysharra- 22 mage

Hey, it sounds like you all are having a lot of fun. If you ever plan anything during the daytime (EST) I'd love to join in. I'm new to SoD, and mmo's in general, but I learn fast and would love to try to add to the whole.
