also one of the coolest parts of this game is the procedurally generated stuff

it basicially means that they can write very small algorythms to deal with graphics and animations and whatnot and have them extrapolate into vast amounts of code

will wright said in an interview they can turn 5kb into 5+megs of memory which is insane and shows how much content can be stuffed into this game

game looks money

it however needs to have multiplayer in it, bad

as it looks there isnt any, other then connecting to a server downloading other information other people who play the game have uploaded that the computer then uses.

I know what your saying, but a game like that could not be real time MMO. What happens when your offline? Someone comes and destroys your whole planet? That would suck big time!

The Mmo genre is old and tired now. Im thinking more along the lines of a rts, possibly at least break the game up into those parts so you can play the different stages of the game against other people like a real rts. Playing the game as a whole would just take way to long but breaking it up into parts (like he does inthe video) and making those parts multiplayer would be great.

Singleplayer games are great and all but to get the most life out of ANY game you need multiplayer. It makes thing more fun and challenging.
