Howdy!
I've been rather overwhelmed by the loud volume of the thunder sounds on SoD when it rains in a zone. It is much louder than it is on Live, and I've received feedback from other folks who have also noted the extreme difference in volume.
I do not want to have to turn my volume way down, or turn my sound off. So... I was wondering if anyone has had any success at eliminating the thunder sounds (besides Cull Storm
)?
I removed the 'thunder1.wav' and 'thunder2.wav' files from my 'sounds' directory, yet when logging into the client, the thunder sounds are still there when it is raining in a zone. I am assuming the sound is embedded (?) in a 'sounds.eff' or 'sndbnk.eff' file, and thus there is no easy way to make that sound go away for good--but if anyone has any ideas, I would surely appreciate it!
Many thanks!
