The new deity System

couldent you just make it so that the guild leader can swear the whole guild to a sertain diety, no matter class and race etc..? And all who joind the guild would lose items gained in one way or the other in that plane? But lose their current religon :?

Something everyone should know is that if you bottom faction with a god, you can't swear to that god, so you can't slaughter in PoA and then swear to Shiritri.

oki, then my question is will factions be reset befor ditey-patch, if not me and a lot of other pepole are scrwed from day one.

Allso i would like to point out that i think molars idea is great.

Nethel, your idea of having ones guild unsworn is ..well.. so so.. first of recruitments wont work if youll have to denie access to all belivers. Second the problem that i see it isent not beeing able to raid one zone, its having a few pepole that cant raid zone A and a few more that cant raid zone B ecs..

allthou as we havent been infomed if ditey questes will me low/mid or high end quests, this migth not be a problem. If items that god x are "handing" out iset as good as or better then what drops in god X´s plane, diety stuff wont affect raiding. But doing quests for your GOD seams like something that can be quite revarding. alltho, one cant know unless beeing told by wiz rigth now *hint hint* ;P

LeeK, it was to answer a raiding guilds post,

"we go to zone X and our clerics say no we cannot raid their because they are sworn, we go to next zone and our MT says no because he is sworn"

Of course it not going to be practicle to try and just get unsworn members (almost impossible). The point was, A raid guild is a raid guild, you already know what you signed up for the day you joined.

That was to give up any and all factions you have worked hard to gain for the bonuses in gear and hunting that a raiding guild could provide. At least that was my understanding on live, it might be different here on WR, I do not know, I spent two years in raid guilds, that was enough. I have no interest in joining another one.

Other than PvP, I see no real problem here. Swearing affecting guild activity is ultimately your responsibility unless you're forced to serve a specific deity based on your class. If you don't want to swear to a deity, don't. If you are sworn and you don't want to be, then just raid the plane anyway and become a pariah. As a pariah, you cannot gain the benefits of getting the quest items from a certain deity, but it opens up your ability to raid where you please. The point of the system is to weigh your own wants and needs and make a decision that you can be happy with.

It's your choice. That's really it.

nethel, c your point now. Still i want the goodies from both having a diety and beein able to raid not all but some planes.

therefor i vote for molars idea. ;P

Wtf?

Molar's Idea is interesting. Problems:

1. it's the death of role playing.

2. If I'm going to choose a diety, it will not be so I can raid uber l00tz

3. wiz has said that once you swear to a god, there is no changing. So it wouldn't work anyway. Problem would still arise -- Once you've sworn so that your on your Guild's faction, you are fucked unless you're with your guild. So if your guild disbands.... or you decide to leave... yea.

I know if a god dies that zone never repopulates.

What happens to your religion if your god dies?

It resets to non-believer because there's no reason to worship a dead god, I imagine?
